Jason’s cabin is charming, beautifully designed and decorated. I like staying in unique places that are curated with lots of thoughtful touches inside and out. This house was built with a clear passion and vision. There is a TON of seating outside which makes it a perfect for warmer days. I am so happy I was able to spend a weekend with my family visiting the nearby state parks, connecting and listening to music around the fire pit, and fishing in the area and river. Overall, a great find and we plan on returning.

The home itself was clean and beautiful. Jason was very responsive and even helped resolve an issue with an Air B&B overcharge. We love how close it was to 3 major state parks: Starved Rock, Mathiessen and Buffalo Rock. The main point of our visit was to hike so we were only at the house to cook dinner and sleep. If you are coming to play on the river, you should know that there is a fracking sand mine just upstream from this house which obstructs the view of nature and is potentially polluting the nearby area. I don’t want to be negative but I feel like people should know this.
