3.5/5 stars. We didn’t get to stay in the penthouse. Owners reached out the day of check-in to let us know A/C was out + they moved us to another apartment 1 floor down. But others stayed in the penthouse + they were LOUD, so we didn’t sleep. The noise began around 24:00 nightly + went on for hours (owners did eventually speak to them). The biggest reason for our rating, aside from not getting the apartment we paid for (+someone else oddly staying in it) is security. Tenants are emailed weeks ahead with the security codes, which are no-brainer codes for easy break-ins. Previous tenants, current tenants on other floors, or upcoming tenants… everyone could break into your apartment. There was also no way to secure the apartment from inside it. When we reached out, the response was “don’t worry… in 10 years, it’s always been safe.” We finally insisted and were given a key to deadbolt, which we appreciated. Please consider changing the code process! Beautiful bldg, narrow stairs, + clean!

Great apartment in a fabulous building. Clean, comfortable and spacious. We particularly liked the terrace, which is a great place to enjoy the evenings. We arrived by train and the apartment is a short walk along a really interesting street, with lots of great buildings. It's a bit out of the centre but only a fifteen minute walk, and if you don't feel like walking, the tram stop is very near. The 'workspace' was very useful as I had to work on a couple of days. Perfect for 'digital nomads'. Olivier and Dorothy were very helpful when we needed to contact them. Recommended and we hope to return.

Dorothys Wohnung in Gent war der Hammer! Die Gastgeber habe ich leider nicht persönlich kennengelernt, ich hatte aber „schriftlich-elektronischen Kontakt“ mit beiden und sie waren sehr freundlich und hilfreich. Vorgefunden haben wir eine total saubere, toll eingerichtete Wohnung in der wir uns während unseres - leider sehr kurzen - Aufenthaltes sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Eine tolle Basis, um das wunderschöne Gent zu erkunden.
