When we arrived, which was after the 4pm check in time. We noticed looking through the front entry there was trash on the floor. We immediately called Vacasa (the host). After numerous knocks and door bell rings, we entered the home. What we found was horrible...trash all over, cigarette butts on the floor, beds all unmade, broken glass all over the kitcken, poop in the toilet... as we were seeing all of this the housecleaner appeared from one of the bedrooms looking disheveled, not sure if she was sleeping, doing drugs or both. We proceeded to stay on the line with Vacasa to remedy the situation. The only remedy offered was to move us to Rockaway beach an hour away to a house/area completely different than what we reserved. By the time we got to the new place nothing was open to eat dinner (we had children with us). Our whole trip was effected by this and how they handled making it right was horrible. I WILL NEVER book a house hosted by Vacasa. AirBnB did make it right after.

Clean and well organized space with a wonderful atmosphere and location.

The house is well located and well appointed. There were toys (including bathtub toys!) for kids. It has 3 bedrooms but one of the bedrooms has bunk beds and we had 3 couples, so one of the couples had to sleep in the bunk bed. It would be better if the bottom bunk was a queen to make the bedroom more versatile. No storage room in the kitchen for the food you bring but the kitchen is so well appointed, it made up for it. The walk to town is easy and the house is right on the promenade.
