Brilliant to be off the grid!
We had a wonderfully peaceful stay at Andrew’s place. So nice to stay somewhere that is as it’s photographed and not in someone’s back garden. It was great cooking on campfires, listening to records and reading through the collection of books. We didn’t go far because it was so lovely but we did take a walk into Dollar. A great little town with a castle on the hill that you can see from the house. Andrew left us to it but if we needed him he was easy to message and very friendly.
Our stay was an absolutely one of a kind, best experience (even though we were among the few ones to attempt to get there by bus/walking)! The nature all around is simply amazing, the house itself extremely cozy and has breathtaking views! The wood stove, record player, the hot baths outside - all of it set the perfect vibe and gave us so many cozy memories we will always cherish! Plus, Dollar is just a walk away and has more beautiful sights to discover :) Andrew is an amazingly helpful host and is just a super kind and lovely person overall, had a chat with him at the check out and he helped us out with a lift to the city! Couldn’t recommend it more!
We had a lovely stay at the cabin and would highly recommend to others who are looking for a peaceful, private and relaxing off grid retreat. There was plenty of thoughtful touches and the cabin has everything you need and more. We felt it was great value and extremely cosy, welcoming and secluded. Andrew is responsive and extremely generous. We couldn’t imagine a better host- thank you so much for having us!
