We had a good time. It was really hot so I feel the summer months should be cheaper as we weren’t able to use the property until nightfall. We Brought our own large fan and it didn’t help much. If it wasn’t for the heat it would have been GREAT.!!! The photos made it look like it’s away from everything but the house right next to it, with a resident, was left out. It was a bit awkward being that close to someone and trying to relax. The AC was nice for the evening and sleeping. . The ants came out in the evening so bring bug spray or maybe she will put a can of raid or bugs spray will help the next guess out a lot.!!
It’s a super cool experience to stay at the hut. The place is very clean and we enjoyed our staying.
This little hut was just a perfect place to stay during a week spent exploring the National Park. It had everything we needed to base our travels out of, and was conveniently located not far from grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, and most of all, the parks themselves. Mineral King was about 1.5 hours away, Lodgepole less than an hour, and Kings Canyon about an hour and 15 minutes. You could even walk to town to a few restaurants/stores if you'd like, about a mile. The property is surrounded by a few small farms, and on both sides has mountain views. The property is well maintained and landscaped and is quite cozy and comfortable. It was clean and so very unique. Plus we got to be the first visitors to enjoy the new window AC unit! Thank you Stacey! :) Stacey was very quick to respond to questions and help us figure out our stay. Perfect host. Would definitely recommend checking out this little hut in Three Rivers!
Really cute and great place! Hot inside the hut due to the outside temps but definitely cooled down at night. temp did not bother us but could be an issue for some people
We are Matt, Stacey and Marlowe Bird (our silly and adorable toddler.) We moved to Three Rivers (or as the locals lovingly call it, 3R) when we found our dream abode in peaceful and rustic 3R, just minutes away from our local eateries and the entrance to Sequoia National Park. We are a laid back couple, often spotted at the 3R brewery or on our upper terrace enjoying the gorgeous mountain sunsets.
