Welcome to Little Blue Farmhouse in the northwest corner of Borden County. Since 1908, six generations of the Smith family have owned, cared for, and enjoyed this beautiful cotton farm. This historic home was originally built in the 1940s and completely restored just a few years ago! It has all the amenities you need for a comfortable and fun stay. Come enjoy the history, the beautiful sunsets, and the peace and quiet of this country home! This cute, relaxing farmhouse sleeps 5-7 guests with 2 bedrooms, a comfortable full-size, fold-out convertible couch, and a twin-size fold-out ottoman. There are also 2 full RV hookups with electric, septic, and water to accommodate even more! There is a full kitchen, one bathroom, and an abundance of outdoor space to enjoy and explore. The outdoor space includes a charcoal grill, horseshoes, basketball, the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets you've ever seen, and more.
Exactly what we were looking for, will be back for sure. Thank you very much for going above and beyond
If anyone is looking for a place in the country to be alone this is the place. This is a beautiful farm house by itself without traffic or close neighborhoods. This is the place to get away from everyone and everything during your stay. I highly recommend this home and plan on staying in the future.
Country living at its finest! In the immediate vicinity, you'll find a beautiful horizon, windmills, and cotton. Surrounded by cotton fields on a caliche graded county road approximately 1/2 mile east of paved FM Hwy 1054. Nearby towns include Gail (15 minutes), Lamesa (25 minutes), Post (30 minutes), O'Donnell (15 minutes), and Lubbock (50 minutes).
Easy pull-up parking alongside the house with ramp or stair access to the patio and home.
自我介绍
Cliff is a retired Ag Banker who grew up on this cotton farm. 4 generations of Smith’s have resided on this farm. 6 generations of Smith’s have enjoyed spending time here! The Little Blue Farm House was built by my Grandparents in the 1940’s. The house was completely gutted to the studs and everything was replaced, new, concluding in 2015 (including, windows, shutters, drywall, insulation, electrical, plumbing, fixtures, cabinets, heating/cooling, appliances, roof, water well, septic system, driveways, wagon wheel fence, etc). Much of the decor was chosen to be reminiscent of what I recall my grandparents having in the house, such as the kitchen table, sewing machine, pics on walls, dishes in cabinets, decor on countertops, etc. Diane is a retired elementary school librarian. We have 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren who love to spend time here! We have enjoyed sharing our Little Blue Farm House and the special history of our place and of Borden County with our guests!
