On the positive side, the Resort is nicely located on the top of a hlll overlooking the southern part of Piemont. Furnishing of the apartments is basic and functional, more or less what we expected. The features advertised on AirBnB are formally more or less correct. What spoiled our stay were two things 1. The estate was not up to the standard we experienced with holiday rentals of a similar price range, especially in terms of hygiene....some examples... -pool & pool area were not clean -algae and dead insects in pool - the pool had a strong green colour (pictures advertised were different) -cheap build of pool & bad condition of pool area in general - pool shower not working, wood planks with splinters -so-called "tennis court" more a meadow than a court, not usable for tennis -sparse equipment of apartments -old towels with stains (one towel per person) -dirty & old toilet brushes and cleaning amenities -cob webs in the apartment -No availability of water or other drinks upon arrival (something we experienced in other self-service stays) These are shortcomings we most probably would have overlooked if it weren't for the second issue. 2.Encounters with the host were complicated to say the least. Throughout our stay the host gave us the impression that we were nuisance rather than welcome guests. On various occasions we reminded of the rules on the premises and our responsibilties as guests. To be fair. We did arrive well beyond regular check in hours on our first day (due to traffic and heat).Also the host claimed to have sent us unanswered emails, which we tried to buy were unable to validate. This probably kicked off our relationship on a sour note. However the tone in which we were patronized and the accusations made were beyond bearable. The situation escalated when we were openly accused of either losing or stealing a lawn chair belonging to our unit. The host commanded us to search for the missing chair and threatened to deduct the amount from our security deposit. Despite our assurances that we had nothing to do with the lost chair the host remained adamant. It turned out that a neighboring party had unknowingly taken the chair.

The spacious room has a stunning view over the mountains. Equipped with all the stuff you need. And if you need anything else, in our case a water cooker, Jane is always ready to help out. The rooms have their own patio, so you have a private area but you can experience some noise of the neigbours. At first the kids missed their Wifi, but in the end they didn't care cause the swimming pool and tennis court are so much fun. Also a great place to explore the area with a visit to Alba and some wine tasting, for example Poderi Luigi Einaudi.

Heerlijk appartement op een mooie locatie in de Piemonte. Het ligt op een rustige locatie en met de auto zijn plekjes in de omgeving goed te bereiken (je hebt wel een auto nodig omdat er in de buurt van het appartement zelf niet heel veel voorzieningen zijn). Het appartement was ruim opgezet (wij verbleven hier met z’n tweeën) en heeft ook een patio & gedeelde tuin met zwembad. Er is zelfs een barbecue waar je gebruik van kunt maken. Jane is een aardige host en alles was zeer goed geregeld mbt aankomst & vertrek. Wij hebben erg genoten van ons verblijf!
