Loved this location. Easy parking. Walkable to a lot of great places. Sarp and the other housemates were considerate, friendly, and chill. Bedroom was clean and comfortable. Would definitely come back!

I stayed at the property for a full month on a work trip. There’s a lot to like about this property. The townhouse is beautiful and the natural light in the house is great. It’s located in a safe and convenient area – it’s right across the bridge from Alameda and about a 15 minute walk to the Fruitvale BART station. The host is very responsive, answers questions, and is very helpful. The room is medium sized with a large TV and large bed. There is free use of a front loading washing machine and dryer. There are multiple rooms so the room you stay in may not match the description given on the website. For instance, my room did not have a desk in it, though there was one in the hallway. Also be aware that the house doesn’t have overhead lights in the bedrooms, though you may be provided with a lamp. There is free street parking, though I’d probably recommend parking on Glascock instead of Peterson if you have a choice- the street there is full of cars that are missing tires and bumpers and broken bottles. The house may or may not be ideal for long-term stays since it typically feels like a high-end hostel - which can be really fun. While I was here, there were multiple other long term guests. Since the house was really only cleaned when someone new moved in, it meant shared spaces like the kitchen and bathroom got really cluttered and dirty. It can also get loud when there are a lot of people there and the shower will sometimes run out of hot water. That being said, the rooms are very clean when you move in, and the atmosphere in the house is just really great in general.

Host was very accommodating. I was upgraded to a larger room which was a unexpected happy surprise. Questions answered via text promptly. Grocery store and great food/coffee within walking distance. Overall great experience.

I stayed here for over a week, and this was one of the most relaxed living experiences I've had outside of home. I had enough access to their kitchen so I could have coffee and breakfast every morning, and the combination lock to the front door made me never have to worry about losing my keys. The room was clean and comfortable, and most of all, private and not intrusive. The room was located a half a block from a great coffee shop and a 24-hour diner, and is less than half a mile from two grocery stories, one in Alameda, and a fifteen-minute walk from the nearest BART station. In short, the next time I visit the Bay Area, this will be the first place I will try to get.
