We’ll this is one review hardcore travelers hate to write. I’ve been to 15+ countries, stayed at hotels and Airbnbs, and in the last 7 months, due to COVID and being locked out NZ, have stayed in hotels and airbnbs back to back. In general it has sucked. Not so with The Black Bear. The Black Bear is without a doubt the best overall bnb we have stayed at, in the world. Sure the home is stunning, 6,000sqft, open living areas, smart tvs throughout, a theatre room, sauna and spa. But it’s so much more than that. The Platinum team take this stunning home and layer on service you expect to receive at world class resorts. We were staying over Xmas so the team had set up a fully dressed tree and little touches of Xmas decorations. We had a small issue with our bravery on the driveway in ice so they sent the crew round to scrape it off. A power outage for the entire area and they were into letting us know it would be back on soon (the home has a generator so we were fine). Megan and Keith made our stay even better than just the home. And it’s the little touches that make the mark. Ralph Lauren sheets and pillow cases. Amazing comfortable bedding, necessary after sliding down the ice on Tremblant. More firewood than you’d ever need for the fireplace and outdoor fire pit. Highly recommended (or just ignore this and we’ll be assured a spot when we come back!). Thanks team.
