Unfortunately I can't comment on the venue as booked. A couple of days before we were due to visit the water systems failed so was unavailable. Sue was very communicative of the situation & straight away offered either a full refund or to stay in their B&B. We chose the latter and are very glad we did. The B&B is Long Crendon Manor which is a minute or two from the original venue. The manor house itself dates back to the 12th century with some 14th/15th century additions. The rooms we were in were spacious and had everything you could need. Good choice for breakfast, cooked to order with local ingredients. We had use of the drawing room and Tim would light the fire, a great place to relax and read . Sue and Tim are lovely hosts who know how to look after their guests, lovely food and great stories. It wasn't our original plan but we loved it. If you want a break away, in beautiful countryside with fantastic hosts, this is the place for you. We would definitely go back.

A lovely apartment as pictured in a beautifully quiet rural location. The on site cafe is a huge bonus serving delicious food and coffee. The apartment was well equipped for self catering however there was a strong smell of dog throughout the apartment despite it listed as a property that does not accept pets.

Excellent location and a stunning building. It is an older property so be prepared for a bit of quirkiness (shower and hot water all quite basic but sufficient). It is just a beautiful building in a fantastic spot opposite Base Café (who have friendly staff). I was never disturbed by deliveries to the café which I was a bit worried about before. It is easy to get into the village on foot and go to the pubs on the high street. Getting in and out with the car is easy during the day when the café is open but a little more tricky early morning / late evening when you have to open and close a gate to get through.

A calm & quiet location to relax. Easy walking distance to an Indian restaurant & a Thai restaurant & a chip shop. Coffee shop on site but unfortunately the farm shop/bakery was closed whilst recruiting staff- i wish that I had known this before arriving so that I could have packed appropriately. The kind welcome pack was gratefully received. The property is charming and feels surprisingly spacious & the garden is very calm of an evening. The bathroom could benefit from an update & a privacy screen would be good at the front door which is next to the bathroom.
