David was very friendly and tried to make every wish we had possible once we arrived! Unfortunately we had problems before since we booked the accommodation for a much lower price as he charged us later and the description of the place didn’t meet the reality…

This accommodation is great for the budget conscious traveler. I was volunteering for 7 days and it was cheap and cheerful given the location. The staff were super friendly and responsive. The breakfast was more than enough each day and it was always good to chat to a friendly team while you enjoy your coffee. The property is centrally located in Karatu and is easy to walk into town to the ATMs and a few restaurants. You can park your vehicle behind a gated area at night so that it, and the contents, are safe. I didn’t have a car but saw plenty other guests safely park their cars. There is WiFi which should suit anyone spending the night. It isn’t really sufficient for longer stays where you need more than the local levels of bandwidth as we know iPhones etc are data bandwidth hogs. Overall, I would stay again at the Panorama Inn and would recommend David and his team to anyone traveling through Karatu. They really tried hard to make the stay as comfortable as possible.
