Seems like the owners are out to make a quick buck on this four-unit building. Considering how much it must be bringing in monthly, they could afford to show some pride of ownership and put in more effort around upkeep. The photos are either airbrushed, or show the apartment after a recent rehab. In reality, the place was well worn -- every heating grate was rusted, all of the doors were scuffed and dirty, large cracks in ceilings, nail holes and dings in the wall, the windows were old and wouldn't stay in place in the sash, carpet and furniture stained and needed deep cleaning, baseboards grungy, closet door off the hinges, pictures busted, headboard falling off wall (nice kitchen and laundry room, though!). We paid $3600 for a month-long rental, and my college apartment 20 years ago was in better condition. We left a few days early for a new place for $600 less/month that was immaculate.

We were very glad to have this place to call our home base while we worked through some tough medical procedures . The house met all of our needs including some medical grade shower assistance which was necessary. The host graciously helped us out while we worked through a few decisions we had to make as we may have needed to change locations for a first floor stay. The internet was a bit of a trouble as we were working from home and taking meetings on zoom calls between visits to the hospital. But Jason was able to get that working properly again as well. We were very thankful that there was a place to host us in a difficult time. And having a home to come back to was one less thing to worry about. Thank you again!

Cozy, clean, nice and well equipped apartment in a peaceful neighborhood which is close to Duke University. We stayed here for more than a week, really enjoyed every day. Jason is very helpful and responsive. Highly recommended!!

I had a great stay! I stayed at Jason’s place for 2.5 months while my son was at Duke University Hospital. The location was very convenient, with an under 10 min commute. I felt safe coming in late at night from the hospital as everywhere was well lit. Kitchen and bath were well stocked, beds were very comfortable and the space was more than adequate. What I liked the most was how accommodating Jason was during this difficult time. I would def recommend.
