Really wonderful short stay. We enjoyed the aesthetic of the Heron’s Nest. Laura has set up a comfortable and artful stay and thought of all the details from enough racks to hang towels on to a little cover for the brightly lit AC screen so we didn’t have to put a towel over it to block light. The bed was comfortable. We normally choose places with a king as my wife is a light sleeper but the bed absorbed movement so well she didn’t notice when I tossed or turned. Well ventilated and good light. In a quiet neighborhood, you do hear traffic but if you use a noise app on your phone it easily covers the sound as it is far enough away. Wouldn’t mind seeing a water filter in place of water bottles or coffee maker that doesn’t use the small plastic cups but that’s just a preference. Didn’t get a chance to walk to the ocean but loved that it was accessible. Would stay again. One of the few places we’ve been where we felt it was properly cleaned but without chemical smells or fake fragrance.

Laura was totally accommodating to our request for changes in our check in time. They had wonderful snacks in the kitchen for us upon arrival. We felt right at home as soon as we got inside. We could tell the owners really take pride in creating a welcoming and comfortable stay for their guests. I am from this same area and I still had fun looking through the guide book they provided with local points of interest reminding me what a great place this is to call home.

Comfortable place a short drive away from all places (beach, restaurants, shops). Proactive communication with attention to details. Highly recommended

The space was gorgeous, really peaceful neighborhood and ambience. Laura was clear and frequently communicated as needed. No problem finding parking and the location was prime for exploring Encinitas. Would absolutely stay again!
