Mary was an unbelievable host for my stay at what I lovingly called "the little cottage." Any issues we communicated and stayed in contact during a possible hurricane, which I appreciated! I would 100% stay here again and I know my parents are already talking about coming back to the cottage in the future for their vacation! 🥰

What a joy it was to stay in this charming historic cottage built in 1890 by Robert Smalls. It is located in the historic district steeped in history along with other very lovely antebellum homes. I loved taking walks in the neighborhood amongst the most magnificent oak trees and magnolia trees with Spanish moss. Bay Street downtown is also a short walk away. Mary, my host, was always accommodating and answered my messages promptly. Thank you Mary !

Great location. Very safe. Walkable area. Quaint cottage We could easily live in the point of Old Beaufort. Left early to visit relatives in the area. Would spend winters there.

Wonderful location in a historic magical cottage. We throughly enjoyed our stay and immersed ourselves in the local history. Evening walks through the Point became our favorite pastime.

The cottage is adorable and very well appointed. I felt comfortable and safe while I was there. Mary Whit and Carter are excellent hosts—responsive and easy to communicate with. They also have a great library of books and records. The location is perfect for exploring everything in Beaufort. I loved biking, walking, and jogging through the neighborhood, and access to the islands is easy from this spot. If you’re visiting between March and November, bring bug spray for outdoor activities!
