The ground floor flat is in a lovely old Amsterdam town house right on a canal in the heart of old Amsterdam. It is separate from the rest of the house. All the museums and the sights we wanted to see were within walking distance. There are lots of nearby open air restaurants for meals and libation. The flat had plenty of room for the two of us and the small kitchen serviceable for breakfast and light meals. Great bagel shop just down the street. Helena, the owner, is just lovely. She lives upstairs and was always available to help when needed. This a great place to stay to see old Amsterdam. Greg and Sharon Kullberg

This is the perfect spot to make your home base if you want to explore Amsterdam. There are restaurants, museums and shopping all within easy walking distance. We were lucky enough to be in town for King's Day and enjoyed sampling waffles and sausages in front of the house with our host! A couple of things to be aware of--you have to duck your head when entering and be careful of passing bikes when walking in the streets. However, this adds to the charm and uniqueness of the neighborhood!

This place is a gem! We loved this place, and it was so convenient to get to the Metro or Tram stop. The neighborhood was very quiet and we enjoyed feeling a small part of Amsterdam. Helena was absolutely lovely, and was so responsive and friendly. We had everything we needed here.

This was absolutely one of the best spaces I’ve stayed at on Airbnb. I loved this space. Charming, well decorated, clean, comfortable. It’s a vibe. It is walkable to everything I wanted to do in Amsterdam. Helena was a fantastic host. I have only positive things to say.
