阿尔科斯-德拉弗龙特拉 (Arcos de la Frontera) · 整套出租单元 · 2室4床1.0卫 · 可住5人 · Casa Vista Castillo: 180º Views in Unique Location
Perched on the famous cliff of the historic Pueblo Blanco of Arcos de la Frontera, Casa Vista Castillo is in a unique location in the heart of the oldest part of the Historic Quarter, offering uninterrupted and spectacular 180º views of the Moorish castle, Santa María, active birdlife, the River Guadalete and orange groves below. The hussle and bustle of bars, restaurants and shops is just around the corner, but as Casa Vista Castillo is tucked away, it´s the perfect retreat to return to. Forming part of a traditional Moorish Andalusian courtyard house, Casa Vista Castillo offers a large open plan living/dining/kitchen area with touches of Al Andalus, 4 metre high ceilings with original beams from which hang 2 huge Moroccan lanterns. There is air conditioning, which acts as a heater in winter. The house has free WIFI. The private terrace is accessed through 2 French windows and offers stunning views of the Moorish castle of Arcos, the Santa María Chruch, Parador, vibrant cliff-side birdlife as well as the surrounding countryside. It´s an out-of-this-world kinda view! There are 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed on the ground floor and a twin room with 2 single beds accessed via a short spiral staircase. Each has wonderful views, a ceramic electric panel on the wall for heating in winter and fans in summer. There is a single sofa bed for a 5th guest in the living room. The house has a well-equipped kitchen with ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, small fridge with freezer and washing machine. There is a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, clothes horse and clothes pegs. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower, stylish washbasin, toilet and electric towel rail, very useful in the colder months. Please note that there is no gas in the property, everything is fired by electric. We provide all bed linen, bath towels and even beach towels in summer. It is difficult to park in the Old Quarter of Arcos: access to the Old Quarter is restrcited as is on-street parking. To cut out the stress, we offer our guests access to a guaranteed parking space about a 7-10 minute walk from the house for a fee of 6€ per day, bookable in advance.
We enjoyed our stay in Isabelle’s appartement a lot. She gave us a warm welcome upon arrival and showed us where to park our car in a garage 10min walk from the appartement. In the meantime she told us about the location. The appartement is clean with a very comfy couch and a great view! We chose to sleep upstairs because of a smaller bed downstairs. It was a bit more windy upstairs which made some noice, but did not matter. The old town offers enough restaurants for the duration of our stay (4 nights). Nice people and good food. It is nice to walk down into the valley and walk a long the farmers. We also went to Cádiz (not our favorite place) and to Ronda (really nice road trip and beautiful to see the bridge). When the weather was not so nice we stayed in and enjoyed what the appartement has to offer.
Isabelle is an amazing host and spend invaluable time with us to get acquainted with the town and the local area. The apartment is in a stunning location - an experience in itself. Highly recommended.
The spectacular views from the balcony, and comfort of Isobelle’s house were icing on the cake. If you want to really experience high ground advantage this is the place for you! What a beautiful time we had in Arcos! Wonderful meals, some beautiful wine and tapas at Raphael’s Tapas y Vinos Taberno San Pedro just 50 metres from Isabelle’s in the shadow of San Pedro church, there are beautiful walks to do around Arcos and down along the river, the tiny alleyways lined with whitewashed walls, the beautiful old buildings contrasted by the festival colour, the Basilica Santa Maria and the competing Church of San Pedro - both beautiful from the outside but something else once inside, excellent restaurants, particularly Taberna Jovenes Flamenco & El Retablo but we especially loved the friendliness of everyone that we met during our stay. Isabel, the host manager was spot on with her recommendations, Isobelle’s place is clean, well appointed and really good value for money. The shower pressure takes some getting used to but understandable given the age & location of this bnb. The duelling roosters around the town as well as the bell tower chimes might challenge your sleeping on the first night but you soon get used to it. There is so much to love about Arcos de la Frontera, the visit made that much more unforgettable because of this amazingly well located bnb.
The Old Quarter dates from the Arab occupation of the town and retains its quaint narrow streets and magnificent buildings. It was finally reconquered by the Christians in 1264. Arcos remains a friendly town with an authentic feel.
Everything in the Old Quarter is accessible on foot and there is a local bus that can take you downtown.
Arcos also has a bus terminal for those travelling without a car.
We recommend our guests use the underground carpark downtown as space is very restricted in the Old Quarter.
Our nearest airport is Jerez de la Frontera which is 25 minutes away by car.
Seville and Gibraltar airports are about 1 hour 15 minutes.
Malaga airport is 2.5 hours away.
Arcos has a bus terminal for visitors without a car.
自我介绍
We first set eyes on Arcos de la Frontera one wet, windy April back in 2003 and were taken around the house that we now call Casa Vista Castillo. Despite the dismal weather, we couldn´t get that view out of our heads and so bought the house! Since then we´ve made Arcos our home, our son was born here and you could say we´ve become part of the furniture. We look forward to welcoming you to Casa Vista Castillo and to Arcos!
