The building is perfectly situated between the vibrant commercial sector of Hawthorne and the leafy streets of Ladd's Addition, which is filled with residential architectural masterpieces from the past 120 years. The space has been meticulously designed to offer a sleek, stylish, and soothing atmosphere. It features high-grade finishes, including mini-split heating and cooling, stainless steel appliances, 9-foot ceilings, and large windows that flood the rooms with natural light. Great place for a weekend in Portland
Daniel's place was great for a weekend stay! The location is quiet, but only a short distance from restaurants and things to do. Daniel was super communicative and gave helpful detailed instructions. The unit was wonderful, a very generous size that didn't feel cramped at all. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it. I appreciated the lack of cleaning requirements at check out.
The good: Daniel, the host, was incredibly communicative. The location of this Airbnb was great for us - close to everything on Hawthorne, as well as other neighborhoods in the area. We also took both the 14 and 15 bus multiple times, which made it super easy to get downtown. The space was clean and as advertised. The less than ideal: The building walls are very thin, and we could hear the neighbors quite loudly. The neighbors weren't even making a lot of noise, we could just hear them walking around and talking in the apartment above us, and when the entered through the shared lobby. If you are a light sleeper, I'd recommend bringing earplugs or finding a quieter spot. The apartment was also on the first floor, which is important to note if you have any safety concerns about first floor spots, and it was also pretty dark, which wasn't a huge issue for us since we were out and about during the day.

Fantastic spot. Clean and comfy enough for a short stays. Location is perfect in a great neighborhood with lots of good food and drink. Other reviews noted the noise of other tenants and the cleaning operation in the basement which we did experience but it was nothing unexpected from an old apartment in an urban neighborhood. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

Additionally, the nearby Portland Streetcar offers another efficient option for reaching different parts of the city. Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are readily available in the area, offering a convenient way to travel further afield or when you’re in a hurry. Traditional taxis can also be hailed or scheduled in advance.
