Very well situated, great selection of double bedrooms, wonderful garden. Bedroom no 4, has no handle on the inside, so one of our party was trapped inside and had to text for help. Not a problem in our case as we let the guest out and he moved to another bedroom, but had he been in his own, he’d have been trapped. The upstairs bathroom sinks hot water tap didn’t work, again, not a major issue as the shower worked and the sink in the other bathroom worked fine. There was no wi-fi, when we contacted the host they told us that they’d topped up the account, but that it would take a few hours to connect. We were there three days and the wi-fi never appeared. However, given the price for the hire, we consider those points minor and the general feeling was that it was a lovely house and very good value for money.

WARNING: Do not stay in this property! The second floor bathroom is un-usable due to blocked drain. First floor bathroom door doesn't lock. Wifi not available. The fridge is a freezer not a fridge. Not enough kitchen utensils for no of people who can stay there. Number of listed items not there. On arrival, we found the dishwasher with dirty dishes and pots in it. There were 2-3 small pots to cook with and they were ALL filthy, one of them burned! We spent 1 hour to clean the kitchen before we could even cook. The host did respond and sent a person to clean the kitchen but they took away a dishcloth and 2 micro fibre cloths belonging to us! A contractor came to look at the bathroom, but couldn't fix it. We were working all week but had to spend 1-2 hour every day dealing with issues. All issues were mentioned in previous reviews but not dealt with. We got 30% refund from Airbnb, still fighting the host for the rest, which we believe we are owed as compensation for the stress caused!

As mentioned there were several dirty plates, and cutlery! Not enough wine glasses and maybe get rid of the cracked plates for hygiene reasons. The upstairs shower drained dreadfully slow.. Great space but definitely not worth the money! Needs a lot of maintenance in order to charge that price!

Place did what we needed providing somewhere central to Bedford for a large group of us. As reported by other reviews there was a lack of a number of things in the kitchen, wine glasses cutlery etc, however having read these reviews we brought a lot of stuff with us so was not an issue.
