The place was really cute, clean, and had everything you needed. It was very well stocked. The river was peaceful. Check in was really easy. We came for 2 nights for the sled run, hiking and to just relax/getaway. You have to drive a little to get to things because there isn’t much to do. Would definitely recommend though. One thing is the pictures don’t show some older like run down buildings near by, but you still have a good bit of privacy. It’s the nicest house in the little area.

We had a great weekend in Parsons! Came out for a last minute ski weekend in Canaan Valley. This property offered a comfortable and restful spot to land after a day of skiing. The place was clean and comfortable, and had everything (literally everything) we needed for a weekend away. The river is also right outside the front door, which we loved — so charming, especially with the fresh snow! Very much enjoyed the visit.

We had an amazing stay on the banks of the Shavers Fork of the Cheat River, ringing in the New Year! The clean, quiet cabin had all of the amenities that we expected, and many more. It made a great base camp for a full weekend of adventuring in Blackwater Canyon, Otter Creek Wilderness, Thomas, and a stop in Davis at Stumptown Ales. While the cabin is in the town of Parsons, it certainly didn't feel like it. The setting is very private with pine trees and a covered porch that is perfect for chilling at the end of the day and listening to river-song. We can't wait to stay here again and do some more exploring in beautiful Tucker County, WV.
