This place is such a hidden gem in a gorgeous area. The deck is to die for and is usually where we ended up in the mornings and evenings. There is a short hike to a little spring about a mile from the house which was a happy surprise. A bald eagle flew around directly above the house. We had zero problems and check in/check out was a breeze. Highly recommend for a quiet, relaxing stay.

This is a great option if you’re looking for a secluded cabin with beautiful views along with easy access to Decorah—The Hilltop House was well appointed with everything we needed for a relaxing stay.

What a beautiful home and location! Even with a family of 6, we had plenty of space—-lots of time on the lower patio and gorgeous porch!
