True to its name, this really is a sanctuary. Blissfully peaceful, beautiful forest surroundings engulf you everywhere you look. Cute town nearby that is walkable, and plenty of hikes and trails by the breathtaking Welsh sea, with rolling hills and picturesque cliffs. The space itself is cozy and adorable, has everything you need — well fitted and equipped all in one cabin. It’s also full of character, so much art to look at and books to read. Boredom is not a feeling you’ll have! I love this place. Would without a doubt come again in a heartbeat!
Amazing host, very responsive, explained everything; helped carry our belongings and made the cabin toasty warm. Had everything we needed; quite muddy after all the rain so pack some boots; boot box outside so cabin stays clean. Enjoyed the morning squirrels and son loved the wooded surroundings. Highly recommend 😊
I would definitely recommend this off-grid gem to everyone! Such a delight to be surrounded by nature. We especially enjoyed watching the squirrels in the morning and the birds feeding from outside the cabins window. It was truly mesmerizing. Andy really was the most attentive host I have experienced. Both the cabin and Andy are both very rare finds. Hope to be back soon!
Amazing peaceful retreat in this beautiful woods. I can't recommend this highly enough. the cabin is nicely decorated and so warm and cozy even in the height of winter and I can imagine it being beautiful in summer. I can't wait to return!!!!

I’ve a richly varied CV, but spent 20 years as a geography/geology teacher in South London and South Wales. Since 2016, I've spent most of my time either either playing with wood, making everything from bird boxes and egg cups to cabins (like Noddfa), or being involved in various campaigns, ranging from Frack Free Wales to Yes Cymru. It was the anti-fracking campaign that first brought me to Coed Hills, and it is now my spiritual home!
