PLEASE READ!!! Ruidoso is a great place to visit and we’ve stayed at a few different places. However, this was by far the worst experience we’ve had. On the stairs leading up to the cabin were two pieces of woods with many nails sticking out of them (sharp edges facing up). It was like a miniature spike strip on the way to the front door. There was also random wood pieces inside the house just laying around. The cleanliness was the worst we’ve experienced. There was visible trash on the floor next to a toilet one of the bathrooms. There was some sort of liquid sticky film all over one side of the bathroom. There was hair, dead bugs and pieces of food in the cushions of the couches and underneath all the furniture. The carpets are stained with something. The communication with the host was the poorest we’ve experienced. His average response time is 8 hours on his Airbnb listing. We brought up our concerns upon arrival to the Airbnb and he said they were “preposterous” in his own words.
