自我介绍

We are Colette and David Neal, a British couple who moved to France from the UK in December 2020. We moved into La Haute Barberie in April 2021 with our cat Ziggy. The feline resident team has since been increased by Asterix and Obelix, two playful kittens whose job it is to keep Ziggy on his toes. La Haute Barberie is a delightfully restored development of four houses, including owner's accommodation and two gîtes for rental with a shared solar heated pool in large grounds at the end of a long driveway in a peaceful valley. All properties are separate and have their own private outside area for barbecues and relaxation. When the two gîtes are booked together they provide the ideal location for large parties and families to holiday together as between them there is accommodation for 18 - 20 people. The grounds are accessible to all guests and contain two pools, one a small kiddie pool with a slope leading down into the main pool, a large lawned area with children’s play equipment, an orchard with eating and cooking apples in season, a very productive vegetable patch, a soft fruit garden, a greenhouse for tomatoes and a summerhouse in a secluded sunny corner leading down to the stream that forms the boundary of the property. The complex is surrounded by open countryside with panoramic views on all sides. The local village of Notre Dame du Touchet is about a mile away. It has a beautiful historic church, a number of antique shops, a boulangerie, a general store, a post office and a restaurant.
