A quiet, charming and fully equipped house. Ideal for families: no neighbors or other tourist complaining if a child cries in the night o simply have fun in the garden. The beach is just a couple of minutes away by car, and restaurants are even closer (they also offer take away service). The mountains behind getting orange at sunset are something unique. Michalis is a great host, always ready to give information you need and more.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Michalis & seine Eltern sind großartige Gastgeber & helfen wo immer man etwas braucht. Wir waren mit Kind unterwegs, welchem die hauseigenen Katzen am besten gefallen haben. Sehr bequeme Betten & tolle Kühlanlage in den Schlafzimmern. Am Abend konnte man den Sonnenuntergang & in der Nacht den Sternenhimmel, von der großen Terasse, beobachten. Parken kann man ganz unkompliziert gegenüber vom Haus, auf der anderen Straßenseite.

Splendida vacanza in una delle località più naturali e belle dell'isola. Massima tranquillità. Clima perfeto, non troppo caldo anche grazie al verde che circondava la casa. Anche se affaccia su una strada è silenziosissima. Di notte è possibile vedere le stelle. Casa molto ben attrezzata. E' chiaro che è stata studiata, in prima analisi, per essere abitata dal proprietario e non per affittare. Ampi spazi, alta qualità. E' necessario disporre di un mezzo per spostarsi perché non ci sono negozi o minimarket negli immediati dintorni.

We spent one week in Reisis Family’s house in the central part of August, and we had a fantastic stay there. The house has a number of strong points in its favour. First, the house is very charming, and it is fully equipped, since Reisis family lives there in off-peak seasons. Indeed, it is the opposite of a standard house conceived for short-staying tourist guests. Rather, we had the opportunity to live in their real house, and we fully benefited by the comfort and warmth of it, as if we were at our own home. We loved to have our breakfast and dinner in the shadowed patio: there is a wooden table for six people and more, and two chaise-longue, with a stunning view on the mountains that get reddish at sunset, and on the sea at long distance, over the olive trees. The house has a very efficient cooling system, with splits in all rooms. Anyway, the house keeps quite fresh during the day by itself, and the wind in the evening makes the air conditioning in most of the cases dispensable. The house is equipped to dispense excellent drinkable water from the tap, a real exception all around Karpathos! Beds are extremely comfortable, and the kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, a microwave oven and the essentials to cook (oil, salt, spices) and to wash the dishes. We conveniently parked our car across the road, shadowed under olive and pine trees. The house is in a very quiet though strategic position. The road in front of the house has very little traffic, and no traffic at all in the night, and therefore the environment is very silent. At the same time, the house is less than 5 minutes by car away from to the beautiful and varied beaches of Lefkos village, where you can also eat in good family tavernas: we had dinner in three of them suggested by Michalis, and we were in all cases delighted. Moreover, the house can be an excellent spot to discover the northern and central part of Karpathos, from the villages of Olymbos, Diafani and Aghios Nikolaos, to the impressive and unforgettable beaches on the east coast, such as Apella and Kyra Panagia. Michalis and his family, who all greeted us very friendly at our arrival (they all speak English very well), were so kind to offer us as a welcome gift fruit, cold beverages, honey and delicious traditional Karpathian rounded breadsticks. The communication with Michalis was always easy and fast before and during our stay, and he was very kind in providing suggestions, in fixing small issues and in giving us the possibility to postpone a bit our check-out time. To conclude, we were so lucky to have the possibility to taking care of the Reisis family’s young female kitty, the most friendly and lovely pet we have ever met. We thank Michalis and his family for hosting us in their beautiful home, which will remain a special memory in our hearts. We absolutely recommend Reisis Family’s house in Lefkos and we hope to be back soon!

The residence is really nice located. You're not directly in the crowded area, but also close to the beach (few minutes by car). The house is clean and has an accurate layout (2 equal bedrooms). One of our favorite spaces was the terrace which invites spending really cozy breakfasts and evenings. I want to thank michalis and his family, who are really nice and always eager to meet the needs of their guests.
