Main floor of a historic house in Havelock. Completely renovated, fully stocked and brand-new appliances! Easy access to plenty of free parking. (One spot in alley driveway reserved for basement tenant.) Smart TVs, blackout shades/curtains, laundry area, fenced yard, security cameras at entry of doors/garage, coded entry locks on back/front doors. House is not childproofed. I will not be responsible for accidents. No smoking/vaping in the home. You may sit on the porch/patio area and smoke. The house was built in 1916 at the height of the railroad boom in Havelock. The house has been completely renovated from new HVAC to refinished wood floors and trim. There is a basement apartment and a main floor 1400 sq. ft. apartment. The main floor is where you will be staying. There are separate entrances to both of the apartments with individually coded entry locks. There are two bedrooms and a sun porch area for sleeping. Each room has a dresser and an Alexa. Two bedrooms have walk-in closets, hangers, and smart TVs. The sun porch bedroom has a clothes rack with hangers. The largest bedroom on the south side of the house has a king size bed. The north bedroom has a queen size bed. Located in the sun porch is the full-size bed. The sun porch area is an open area with a washer/dryer. But has been designed for use as a comfortable, private bedroom in the evenings or naptime. The bathroom does not have a tub but there is a rain-head shower and plenty of light over the mirror. Plus, extra items if you have forgotten a toothbrush or even a razor! A washer and dryer are located in the sun porch, along with a breakfast nook/game area. There are items for picnics or day trips. Board games, cards, and books are located on the shelf. The living room is spacious and inviting. There is a large couch, oversized chair, and an ottoman. Plenty of extra blankets and throw pillows make it easy to feel at home. The shades are blackouts over new windows. The smart 60" TV is located above an electric fireplace that has a remote control. The room allows for conversation or relaxation. As the house is set up with an open floor plan you will be able to converse with those at the large dining room table. The kitchen is fully equipped with brand new appliances! A coffee/tea bar is set in a corner of the kitchen that receives the perfect amount of morning sun. A small area for making drinks and entertaining is set in the corner of the dining room. Flour, sugar, spices, and some snacks allow you to use the kitchen as you would your own. Utensils, pots, pans, and baking supplies are also provided. The front porch has a keyless entry coded door. There is a camera set up on the front porch which is set to view away from the seating area, so you are still able to have your privacy while we monitor traffic and visitors. The rear entry also has a keyless entry coded door and a camera. This door leads to a small stairway that is shared with the basement tenant entrance and an exterior door. The exterior door is not locked, as it leads to a common area. The backyard is fenced in and still a work in progress. A table, chairs, and freestanding loveseat swing are under a large awning during the warm months. The picnic table has a large umbrella available. There are some yard games but let me know if you would like something different. There is another freestanding loveseat swing by the east fence. A chair tree swing hangs from the backyard hackberry tree. A hammock is near the swings. During the summer, I have pots of vegetables and herbs in the backyard. You are free to use anything you would like. The lemon, lime, and fig trees will be moved into the sun porch during the cold months. During the summer the trees flank the old metal loveseat swing. The backyard is still a work in progress. Clover and grass have been planted but as we are still working on the outside it is often sparse. The area under the awning has concrete but will be replaced with new concrete in the near future. The picnic table is on a rock/clover area which will also be updated at some point. The walkway is brick that leads to mulch with a wood path. The brick walkway will also be replaced in the future. There are two bicycles in the back shed. Feel free to use, if you are so inclined. There is one bike lock with the bikes. I do have a second, just ask. The front yard is still being landscaped. I currently have clover and grass as lawn cover. The fruit trees and bushes are still new but when they are ready to produce you may pick the fruit.
So cute and room for the whole family. Had everything we needed for a comfortable night. Wish we had reason to stay longer, but we were just passing through.
Such a lovely house with beautiful craftsman style and woodwork! Felt cozy and right at home, plus the sofa and beds were so comfortable. Bathroom & linens were really clean, and Jana is an awesome host and easy to communicate with! Would definitely stay here in Lincoln again!!
Jana’s place was wonderful! Quaint neighborhood, comfy beds, great bath towels and robes, and all the things you needed.
