I was blown over by how beautiful Julie’s house was and how accommodating she was with my situation, she was very helpful, kind and caring and I had an amazing stay. She went out of her way to help me and I feel blessed to have stayed with her. Everything was clean, tidy and just perfect. Julie is just amazing!

My wife and I had an amazing time staying with Julie and Gordon. The house is absolutely beautiful- our room was very comfortable and we loved playing cards by the fire in the sitting room in the evening. It was my birthday whilst I was there, which happened to fall on the same day as Up Helly Aa- Julie and Gordon went above and beyond getting me a card and a gift- I certainly won't forget my 30th birthday! The breakfasts were incredible- best scrambled eggs we'd ever had. When our ferry was cancelled a couple of times due to the storm Julie and Gordon were so accommodating and said we could stay the extra nights until we managed to get a ferry, which took a big part of the stress away. Really easy location to get to around the island. We will definitely be staying again when we're back on Shetland and would recommend anyone thinking of taking a trip there to book Ervhouse.

Julie and Gordon were amazing and kind & thoughtful hosts. We arrived on a very wet and windy day on our bikes. Gordon drove out to check we were ok when we were delayed getting to the B&B due to the weather, and Julie had a warming bowl of soup waiting when we arrived + took care of drying all our wet cycling gear. The following morning we couldn’t cycle as it was so windy, so Julie kindly took us to Hamnavoe so we could experience the full force of a Shetland gale! Julie’s place is beautiful warm and very relaxing. It’s also lovely to be able to relax in the lounge by the wood burning fire! Breakfasts and evening meals were delicious too. 😊

This B&B is fabulous, given how hard it can be to find a place to stay in Shetland at busy times. They also serve evening meals, beautifully cooked and in generous portions, which was a big treat. It's comfortable, quiet, well situated for travelling around the mainland and lovely to come back to.

Ervhouse Bed and Breakfast was well beyond expectations. If I could I would give it 10 stars instead of 5. Julie and Gordon’s love of Shetland and the pride in their hosting goes beyond words. The house has so much character that is enhanced with the love and care that they put into it. The details tell stories, you could spend hours looking at the artwork and books of Shetland. Julie and Gordon are a wealth of information on the history and current affairs of the Island. We can’t forget the food. Breakfast was plentiful and made to order. It was a great way to fuel up for the days adventures. The dinners were like having your own Top Chef. I would really like to thank both Julie and Gordon for making my Birthday dinner(and Julies)one of the most memorable I have had in years. I will truly miss you both
