Ensenada · 整套民居 · 2室2床2.0卫 · 可住5人 · Caballo de Mar, 2 BR House, One Block from Beach
Caballo de Mar is a 2 BR, 2 bath house with fenced patio & yard. Dog-friendly! One block from the gorgeous Lenguita Arenosa beach with 5 mi. of smooth sand (near La Bufadora, 40 minutes S. of Ensenada). The area features small rustic towns with shops & restaurants. The house has 2 queen beds, big living area w/ big windows, 2 full bath, laundry, & renovated kitchen with gas stovetop, toaster oven, & microwave, (no oven). On the patio, a grill & table for al fresco dining. Bright & comfortable. This house is located just off Boulevard Todos Santos (the main beach road) on a private residential street. The entrance to Lengueta Arenosa beach is at the end of your street. The living area of the house has a comfy couch that is about 6 ft long. The back cushion can be removed, so it is almost as large as a single bed, and can be used for sleeping. There is also a queen futon couch in the living room. There is a NEW mini-split installed in the living area. This is a heater in the winter and AC in the summer. Please note that it may not be sufficient to heat and cool the bedrooms, so there are supplemental space heaters for the bedrooms in winter, and fans for the summer. There is a desk, a TV with Netflix, and WiFi connection. The kitchen is stocked with 2.5 gallon bottles of purified water for drinking and cooking in the water dispenser, flatware, dinnerware, and cookware. You also have a coffee maker, full-sized refrigerator, and basic spices and condiments for cooking. Coffee and tea provided. Please note there is a gas stovetop, microwave, and toaster oven for cooking (NO OVEN.) The two bedrooms have a queen-sized bed and desk in the master bedroom, and a queen-sized bed in the second bedroom. All essentials are provided, such as bed sheets, towels, soaps...etc. You also have closets to put away your belongings during your stay. The bathrooms have showers. Baja California is a desert and water is scarce. Also we use a private water tank (pila) and have a septic system. This area is built on a sandbar, and water must be conserved so as not to overwhelm the septic system. We ask guests not to use the bathtub and keep showers short. There is an older washer and dryer, but we also ask that you only do laundry if absolutely necessary or for stays longer than 3 days. There is a fenced patio where you can hang out and grill food when the weather is nice. If you bring your pets, please do not let them on the furniture, and pick up their droppings outside. Many people here let their dogs run free on the beach, and you can too, as long as they are friendly. FIREWORKS ARE PROHIBITED. Some people ignore this rule, but you should not. Vehicles of any kind are also prohibited on the beach. This beach is perfect for swimming, biking, kayaking, riding horses, and more. We provide beach chairs, beach towels, and umbrella for your use. There are natural hot springs nearby on the beach where you can dig your own hot tub in the sand at low tide (bring your own shovel and bucket). At the far end of the spit is a natural protected area and bird sanctuary with hiking trails. La Bufadora (one of the world's largest blowholes) is about 20 minutes away with the boardwalk shops and restaurants. Las Canadas is 40 minutes, which has pools, hiking trails and a zipline. San Carlos hot springs with hot and cold pools is a 45 minute drive. Downtown Enseanda is about a 1 hour drive, with world class restaurants and shopping. Calibrate Your Lenguita Arenosa Beach Expectations .... This beach is in a rural area. That is what makes it beautiful and peaceful, but please understand this means we don't have all the advantages of a city when it comes to utilities. In all the residences here, water for washing is delivered in trucks that fill private cisterns (called "pilas") for each house. We provide filtered water for drinking and cooking. Gas for water heater and stove is from canisters. When they run out, we call the gas company. Usually they will be able to refill the tanks the same day (Sundays are iffy). The salt and mineral content of the water is high, so things corrode easily and occasionally stop working at inconvenient times. The only public utility in this area is the electricity, and even this frequently goes out during rainstorms and sometimes for reasons only God knows. All of this is part of the Baja experience (outside of the cities). This is also an older house. We do our best to maintain the house and fix every problem as soon as humanly possible, but we are not mind readers. If something is not working, please let us know IMMEDIATELY, even if you prefer that we not come in to fix it during your stay. We are available by phone or text from 7 am- 7pm every day. Baja has its own magical vibe that you won't find anywhere else, and this beach in particular is stunning. But patience and flexibility are big assets here. Think of it as being on island time... take a deep breath of ocean air, and sink into peace.
We had an amazing time at Melanie’s! The home was cozy with all the amenities you could need. The beach was very clean and for the most part had it to ourselves the whole evening. La Bufadora is only 8 minutes driving, lots of venders and great food! The home was very easy to find using gps coordinates, the gated street with private parking felt safe. We had a fun and relaxing weekend at Melanie’s home and are looking forward to another trip!
we just got back from melanie's place it was wonderful experience. the most responsive host we have had so far plus she was very aware of if anything wrong with the weather. everything as described in the pics plus a lot of info as what to do when in town. i have no real complaints except maybe the house needing a refresher on the furniture and blankets. nothing wrong with them just at some point you need to make little upgrades. will i come again of course. we wanted to be as close as possible to the beach and thats exactly what we got. it is far from actual Ensenada so if you want to be close to town this place might not be for you. other than that awesome place will be back.
Place was clean and had everything we needed. Great location super close to beach and la Bufadora. Definitely recommend !!
This is a small, private neighborhood with a gate. The house is near the main beach road and one block from the beach. The area can be very busy in the summer especially on weekends but is quiet in the off season and week days. This is a rural beach area with several two towns nearby, including Cantu (Ejido Coronel Esteban Cantu), and La Bufadora. The house is about .25-2 miles from the nearest small stores, and 1-2 miles from the nearest restaurants. The nearest grocery store is in Maneadero, about a 20 minute drive.
You have a dedicated parking space. Getting around is easiest by car since this is a rural area.
