Ficamos 5 dias e adoramos, casa muito boa bem equipada e com uma piscina magnífica. O Nathan foi incrivelmente prestável e sempre disponível. Ponto a melhorar à Internet fomos em tele-trabalho e foi impossível trabalhar com a internet da casa. Mas voltaremos.

If you want to enjoy the real Portugal, this is a perfect location! A quiet villa located between the historic towns of Tomar, Ourem and Fatima. No shortage of restaurants and sights. an hour's drive from the endless beaches of the Atlantic coast and an hour and a half from Lisbon. the villa is spacious and well equipped, the host Janine has made something beautiful out of it. Special mention to Nathan, the Welsh caretaker, a top bloke with a quad bike ;-)

We stayed here for four nights last week and it was just lovely! The house is beautiful- the photos on Air B&B don't do it justice. Very relaxing in a quiet spot yet close to lots of great places to visit. Nathan was incredibly patient though our flight was delayed and we got lost trying to find the house (it's tricky even in the daytime and we arrived very late at night!) A wonderful stay and we would certainly come back. thank you!

Whatever I write in this review, I want to make clear that this is an amazing place for anyone seeking tranquility. We spent 5 days in here with our dog and had a wonderful time. Most people will love staying here! That said, I have a few things to point out just as extra "disclaimers" in addition to what's described. First of, the internet is slow (4~8Mbps), and the wifi covers only the living room and little else, so if anyone is thinking of doing remote work with video calls, I think you won't be able to do it here. As for recreational purposes, we were able to stream videos and movies from youtube and netflix, so that's still doable! Second, for anyone taking dogs or children, as of September 2022, there is still a large parte of the property that isn't fenced, and the existing fence's wire grid is relatively wide (a small dog could pass through). We didn't have any issues with this because our dog stays in the same area where we are, and the area near the pool and garden is fenced. However, if anyone has a more adventurous dog, it's something to keep in mind. The main bedroom has two windows with no opaque blinds, so if you require complete darkness in your sleep, I advise you bring a sleep mask. There is a main house and a detached annex. That annex is lovely, it feels like a good hotel suite, and I think it houses up to four (couple and children). Just wanted to point it out because in the pictures it's hard to understand, and depending on your group it can be an advantage or disadvantage. The pool is mostly private but only because there's almost no one in the surrounding fields. There are many trees and bushes that help with that, but there are still some lines of sight which stops that are from being completely private. We felt enough privacy, but maybe some people won't. Finally, some positive points which aren't covered in the description of the place. The kitchen is really well equipped, you can bring your own food and be sure that there will be the tools to cook it. The place is very easy to reach by car (even though the navigation app freaks out trying to take you to the exact entrance of the house). The person who made our check in and check out, Nathan, is a great guy! Thank you for having us Janine, we hope to be back some day.
