The Airbnb owner/manager of this property is racist and rude and does not care about his customers. The next-door lady in house number 15 is also racist. I will submit a complaint to Airbnb for both of them. On the first night, he called me to advise that many people were at the property. I advised I am in Bolton for a wedding, but people are going to come and visit since my family travelled from Australia to the UK. I noticed that lady from the next door had called him to complain. The next day, he came to the house around 11:30 pm to wake people up. He accused that there were a lot of people at the property, which wasn’t true. I had booked 2 Airbnb, and only five people were supposed to stay at his property. We ended up allowing him to see the rooms, which was unacceptable. He starts making ridiculous demands that people should not visit after 6 pm. The contract says that their noise level should be reduced at 10 pm. There are two cameras at the house. One faces the sitting area, and the second one faces the kitchen. It records people, which is not acceptable. I moved the one at the door upwards, and he got angry and charged me £75 to adjust it. He threatened that if I didn’t pay the £75, he would kick us out if I didn’t pay. I paid him to stop a further argument. He was very rude the entire time. I tried to be nice to him the entire time, and when we checked out, he requested me to pay him almost £1200 for things we didn’t damage. He was Charing for things like cleaning and replacement of the entire carpet for two rooms, marks which he describes as burns. No one smokes, so how could we burn the carpet? He sees an opportunity and tries to capitalise on it. I wasn’t happy paying him £75 to adjust his camera, which is uncomfortable. He bullied me into paying him that, but I will not pay anything until he can prove that the damage was not there before we got to the property. We booked other Airbnb properties, and he is the only one who raised issues that we didn’t do. I would think twice before booking this property, and if you do, good luck. Being monitored with a camera in the first place does not allow you to enjoy your stay.
