Well appointed four-bedroom family cottage with three bathrooms and comfortable indoor and outdoor seating areas. Picturesque seaside village close to beach and a number of good venues around.

The cottage is ok, it has nice up to date bathrooms, and all the amenities you would need. The only thing I'd say is it has no character and it's obviously a holiday house that hasn't had much love by people that live there, it's just there for utility, for airbnb's and short term rentals it seems, that is the overwhelming feel of it. There's also not much natural light. Its also next to a pub which is noisy at night, and the plumbing made the bathrooms smell a bit funny when we first got there. The other thing I'd mention is its a little tricky walking to the beach with young kids, better to get somewhere close to the village, and closer to the footpaths, so you don't have to walk along the road.

A lovely house in beautiful Croyde, newly decorated, bright and airy. We were 8 adults and there was plenty of space overall, although the small bedroom with bunk beds is very small with no storage space. (Better suited for small children). All beds are very comfortable and the other 3 bedrooms have wardrobes. One has an en-suite shower room, one of 3 shower rooms, no baths but not a problem for us. Downstairs the open plan kitchen/diner is perfect for socialising and the separate living room is cosy and comfortable if you want to chill out or watch TV. Outside, the lovely courtyard is a great place to sit and enjoy the sunshine and a glass of wine. Being next to the pub is absolutely not a problem. No noise disturbance and very convenient. (We had lunch there once and a takeaway another time). Great location in the village and a short walk to the beach and lovely coastal walks. We really enjoyed our stay. A couple of issues regarding cleanliness, particularly as “enhanced cleaning” meant we couldn’t access the property until 5pm, recycling bins that were left overflowing on our arrival and poorly maintained dining chairs, have been passed to the booking company but these things did not spoil our stay.

The house is lovely and newly decorated, everything is in excellent condition. We were 4 adults and 4 kids and it was snug. I don’t think it would work for more adults. The bunk room especially is tiny and without any storage. Great location for the beach and the village shops, pubs etc. A great week in Croyde.

This is a great house in a lovely location. All of the fixtures and fittings are top notch, and there is everything you need. It is literally 2 mins into Croyde, and 10 mins walk to the beach (the outside shower is useful for wetsuits etc). Don’t be put off by it being next door to the pub, there was a bit of noise from the kids play area in the day (but we were mostly out) and a bit of noise later at night from people walking home etc, but nothing that bothered us. There had been a bit of a mix up which meant the house hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived, but this was sorted out on the night, whilst we were out, and then fully cleaned again the next day, so just one of those things, and very unlikely to happen again. TV service isn’t good, but access to Netflix and catch up all works fine. Be warned…when it says you have to park IN the garage, this definitely means IN the garage…if you have a full size 4x4 you will need to park in the village in the pay and display. This is non-negotiable with the people who live behind the house. Would we stay again? Yes, but only if we take a smaller car!
