fantastic little fun with the most helpful and accommodating host. great location for visiting the local attractions we did the falkirk wheel, the kelpies and Blackness castle. the cottage is very homely with all the amenities you need great to have the offer from Gaele to light the fire for us while we were out so we could come back to a toasty warm front room especially given we had a couple of days of rainy weather. lovely to have everything you need to make a brew when you arrive and some nice little treats left for us too. we were only there for 4 days and wish we had been there longer. easy to have supermarket delivery and plenty of takeaways that will deliver too if you don't fancy cooking. loved our stay here.

We had a fantastic staying at the cottage. Gaele is absolutely adorable, always ready to help, to advise and to have a good chat 😀 We'd love to come back!

Gaele is a lovely host, who gave us a very warm welcome, with a roaring fire. The house itself is situated in the hills overlooking a beautiful river and valley, unfortunately it is also looking directly at a refinery. The photos are also not very accurate to scale, the spaces are small and more closely suited to a family of 2-4, not a party of 6 as suggested in the description. This is also not a child friendly location with no obvious child amenities. The house is quite warn and requires some upkeep to basic amenities.

Gaele was the best host ever! She helped in advance with recommendations of what to see and advice on planning our trip. She was very respectful of our privacy but was also quick to respond if we needed anything. She loves genealogy and worked to help me find family members that I was looking for. We came home every evening to an amazing fire! It was so cozy and warm. We had an amazing time!

Great place to stay, rural but very close to town centre’s, host was great and very proactive, highly recommend.
