We are happy to announce that June 1, 2023, Black Bear cabin will be open. This is a duplex cabin that will have some special features inside. As you are facing the cabin, Black Bear will be on your right and Brown Bear will be the left side. Brown Bear should be open the beginning of 2024 season. Our cabins are secluded but not remote. Easy access, just off the Sterling Highway. Black Bear cabin has very easy access off the Sterling highway. The only real challenge at Black Bear is a lone willow tree at the apex of the driveway. It is the only willow on the property and we are reluctant to remove it. This does make driveway accessibility challenging for large vehicles ie, full size crew cab trucks. You have a choice of entrance to the cabin with a front and back doors. There is a full futon, hand crafted table with 4 chairs, full kitchen amenities, a wood stove and propane heater, full bathroom and mud room, on the main level. Up the hand made log stairs, you will find a cozy loft with a queen and full beds, a handmade blue pine armoire, luggage racks and ample room to move around comfortably. The front deck has a privacy divider from the adjoining cabin, a dual fuel BBQ for your enjoyment, and enough room to seat several guests.
