Coates Cottage is a gem of a place to stay if you are visiting the Eastern Highlands in Zimbabwe. It is a beautiful place to be, tranquil and quiet. The dam is about 50m away from the house. Walking around the dam, rowing the boat and fly fishing are literally right on your doorstep. Fabulous fresh mountain air so good for the soul. Thank you.

It was a nice stay at her late view cottage in Nyanga. This place is perhaps the best for 2 or 3 families. Very comfortable and spacious, with a fire place in the main bedroom. We cannot ask for more. World recommend getting to the place before the sun down since in case it gets very foggy, you will have less than 1 meter visibility on the way.

Great cottage in an amazing location just a stones throw away from some of Nyanga's best sites! Chipo lit the fires around the house every evening (4 fireplaces!), the heated floors in the bathroom were a treat and the extra chefs arranged by our host made for a luxurious getaway! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back!

Coates Cottage is the perfect getaway. 50m walk to the dam where there is a complementary rowing boat to use at your leisure. Beautiful walks around the dam and up the road to the famous "World's View" - it is amazing watching the sun set over Zimbabwe from the beauty of World's View. A short walk (500m approximately) back to the lovely house. Beautiful views over the Connemara Dam from the lounge and bedroom windows. Great for families or a group of friends. We loved it. Thank YOU.
