The Blue Heron 30' geodome at the tip of a peninsula with amazing sunsets, awe inspiring 300+ degree lake views, houses 2 with a king bed in the dome. Covered kitchen area & Traditional FULL BATH, hot tub deck. , stargazing /moonrise deck. Kayaks, paddleboards $20 rental fee (free intro class offered) water hammock Bluetooth outdoor speakers, The Blue Heron is a 30 ft geodesic dome on a, one of a kind property where Big Sky meets Big Water at the tip of a narrow peninsula 45 minutes south of Atlanta, on High Falls Lake. Heated porcelain floors, 12 foot tall by 20 foot wide window looks out over an upper and lower ( with hot tub) deck surrounded by water. and fire pit beyond. Very special furnishings include a silk king headboard, an arctic fox ball chair with mohair ottoman., Oak corner wardrobe ( circa 1780) 14 foot velvet semicircle sofa , white suede dining chairs at a mahogany Empire table ( circa 1890) faux alligator brass side chairs, a built in 42" tv with swivel and tilt . Currently sleeps in a king bed. Current kitchen is still part of the glamping setup outdoors, and full bath is still accessible through the breezeway. big green egg are part of the outdoor kitchen. kid space is also available ( seasonally) in La Yurte , is a large 20 foot bell-style tent, currently on site for 13 months, check review

The Blue Heron is a Beautiful hideaway. Russell was an excellent host, very responsive and friendly. The location was more than I could have imagined. The seating inside and out allowed you to capture the beauty of the lake from all angles. The lake seemed to surround the Dome and the sound of the water will definitely relax you. The lights at night were stunning and presented an entirely different relaxing vibe. We brought food to grill for the weekend so we never left … It is a perfect couples getaway. The state park is only a mile away. If you are looking for a place to truly escape the hustle and bustle of the city and clear your head then look no further… hurry up and book.. You will not regret it. I will be returning. I couldn’t believe it was only a short drive from ATL. Just Beautiful!!!!! 10 out of 10
Russell was amazing and welcoming. He really worked with me and welcomed me for my birthday weekend. I would say our only down fall was the kitchen and eating situation. BUT AND A HUGE BUT when the place is that beautiful you make it work. We just cooked most our meals on the flat top inside the Dome and it was fine. Overall, this place made for a beautiful birthday getaway. Thank you 🙏🏽
Russel was beyond helpful and responded so quickly! The place was super clean & modern & he made sure we had everything we needed . Glamping at its best !
great place to relax enjoy the view. we spent time together drinking wine and enjoying mother nature. was on the chilly side because of the winds but on my next visit we like to enjoy the fire pit and roast marshmallows. I had a bunch of followers ask about my location hopefully I'm invited back as guest!!!
This was an absolute beautiful, serene home to visit! It was right on the lake so the breeze off the water was perfect. The dome was neatly coordinated with a breathtaking view at night! We had a little storm come through which only made the atmosphere even cozier. The rain on the dome created such a peaceful feeling. We live in a big city with horns and smog so this was a perfect getaway! Our host, Russell, was truly a super host - very informative, and readily answering questions! Shout out to the cleaning lady who had the dome smelling and looking wonderful! We will return soon!

The collection of tropicals spend most of the year at one of 5 properties here at High Falls Lake, that are BNB. 134 plants spend winters in the Villa plant room. Heaven. The rest of my time is spent applying artistic tendencies to homes just North in Atlanta.
