Elmwood is one of the most beloved neighborhoods in Berkeley by Bay Area locals. It is a neighborhood of craftsman houses, gracious tree-lined streets, and a shopping area of small shops with their own unique charm that have retained its sense of the past with a spirit of community. It has well-preserved small town feel -- with a “main street” complete with movie theater, post office, library, bank and assorted shops. Our house is located on a quiet and peaceful dead-end street, a few blocks from College Ave, where all of Elmwood’s boutique shops and restaurants are located. Centrally located to some great destinations nearby:
-Coffee shops: There are multiple great coffee shops -- Timeless Coffee, Souvenir, Philz, Cole Coffee -- that are walking distance from the house.
-Nabolom Bakery and Pizzeria: Some of the Bay Area's best pizza, located just a few mins walk from the house.
-UC Berkeley Campus: Walk to the UC Berkeley campus in just 15 mins down College Ave, or take Avalon Ave. for a more scenic route past some of Berkeley's most beautiful, multi-million dollar historic homes.
-Claremont Hotel and Spa: A short 10 min walk from our house.
-Rockridge: A 20 min walk from one of Oakland's most desired neighborhoods -- known for its incredible food scene, independent bookstores, vintage boutiques, record shops, art galleries and antique markets.
- Stores: There's a great organic small grocery store a few blocks from the house on College Ave, in addition to a 24/7 7-Eleven.

We are 1-2 blocks from three AC Transit bus stops that will take you to UC Berkeley Campus/Downtown Berkeley or to the Rockridge BART station (our local train system that connects you to San Francisco). We are also close enough to walk to several places. Uber and Lyft are readily available in this area to get to places a little further away(about 20 minute ride to San Francisco).
