The house is beautiful. The beach is great and there was hardly anyone there. The lawn area is a great place to sit and read a book or enjoy a cup of coffee. It really is a great house and I would rent it again. Given I rely on reviews and typically read all of them before renting I do want to point out a couple things that weren't ideal. The policy about not having parties is strict. I read it to mean no loud drinking events. I hosted an afternoon lunch of 12 people (4 of us were staying at the house, 6 were older than 75 years and a young mother with a baby.). Haley let me know that 2 neighbors called her to complain. It was unfortunate as we have family in Port Sanilac and it was an ideal place to gather. The master bedroom did not have any shades or curtains so it was not private. The neighbors walk through the lawn to visit the other neighbors so you have strangers walking by the window. The doors are hard to open and close. Despite these things it is still 5 stars!

This was a great getaway for our family of four. Our sons, six and four, enjoyed staying in the bedroom with the trundle beds, and all of the easy access to the beach and the water. Even with water that was very walkable and rocky, with water shoes they navigated it very well and had a great to hear time walking out 50 to 75 feet away from the beach. The house was in a great location shut, a mile away from Port Sanilac. It was set up great for a family stay. We had such a relaxing time on the getaway at Lago Haus!

We had a really calm, quiet and peaceful few days. We had 4 adults and two toddlers. It was a a beautiful home and beautiful scenery. The beach is a little rocky so best to wear/bring water shoes. It’s private and secluded from most but there are 2 friendly neighbors on either side of the house. The house was clean and neat. We did have to baby proof the house a little by just putting breakable things up out of the kids reach. We brought our own little baby pool for the toddlers and the owners were kind enough to leave the hose out for us upon request. The owners are very responsive, we couldn’t figure out where the outdoor dumpster was so we reached out for that and received a very quick reply. The husbands wanted to golf so they went to 2 different spot’s recommended by the owners and enjoyed themselves. There’s a grocery store close by as well. Thank you kindly, we would certainly go back!!
