Nadine et Simon sont très accueillants et sympathiques. Ils savent être à l'écoute, de bon conseil et se rendre disponibles lorsque nécessaire. Nous avons apprécié la qualité de l'hébergement ainsi que l'ensemble des petits détails fournis pour le confort des hôtes. Les repas sont copieux et délicieux. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.
Un superbe séjour au calme et en pleine nature ! La tente où nous étions était très confortable (petit plus pour le bruit de la pluie sur la toile). Si vous cherchez à déconnecter totalement de la ville, le Berry est la province parfaite avec beaucoup de balades possibles aux alentours et un magnifique ciel étoilé. Thank you very much Nadine and Simon ! Nous reviendrons !
Nous avons passé un séjour plus qu’agréable ! Tout est pensé pour un séjour de détente en pleine nature avec tout le confort associé. Les hôtes sont réactifs, accueillants et de bons conseils pour les activités à réaliser à proximité. Nous recommandons sans hésiter !
We stayed at Simon and Nadine’s beautiful place for 5 days and it felt like a fairytale. The nature, the amazing tents, the beds, the environment, the hospitality.. Everything was amazing. We would definitely recommend the table d’hôtes, for some special dining with a lot of local products. Our days were quite hot, around 30 degrees, but the lakes in the near area and the pool were perfect to get rid of the heat. At night the tents were cool, and that with the combination of the good matras and bedlinen, took care of some good nights sleep. The eco-friendly things Simon and Nadine did to the place, worked perfectly fine, for example the dry-toilet, the coolbox and a little shared refrigerator and the solar lights.Also, ask Simon and Nadine for some good advice for things to do in the area, they know the best places to visit and also made an awesome guide and bucket list to give you some inspiration. They are always there for questions, to help or for a little chat :). We will definitely try to come back here!

EXCELLENT LOCATION - La Praire Étoilée is in the beautiful Indre in the Centre-Val de Loire Region of France. Swim or kayak in beautiful lakes, wander around enchanting Chateaux and medieval villages. Visit vibrant traditional markets or hunt for treasure at brocantes and taste wine & cheeses at local producers. The Indre is everything you love about France yet off the beaten track. Do as much or as little as you like!
IMMEDIATE NEIGHBOURHOOD - We are situated in a very green, rural area, in the heart of the countryside, a little way outside the village of Crozon-Sur-Vauvre. It's very quiet and peaceful with the odd tractor passing by. Our closest neighbours are the cows in the nearby field
CAR FREE DAYS - although very rural there is opportunity to leave the car with walks and cycle routes from right outside the gates.
ONSITE BIKE HIRE - We have amazingly comfy tandem bikes available for hire (includes safety gear & instruction!) - such a great way to have fun and explore the immediate locality.
LOCAL VILLAGE (Crozon-Sur-Vauvre):- 3 WALKS with maps available and the routes are have colour coded signposts so you can’t get lost (unless you want to!). ARTIST STUDIO - visit a working studio & Gallery. BAR - La Bonne Vauvre - a temporary bar is situated in a renovated caravan by the river. E-BIKE HIRE - there's a hefty deposit but cheap e-bike hire with lots of cycle routes to explore.
LAKES - just a short drive away (most within 30 minutes, the nearest 15 minutes), are a number of lakes for wild swimming, kayaking, fishing and even water skiing.
GOLF & SPA - 12 minutes away
RESTAURANTS - There are plenty of restaurants in the surrounding towns and villages for eating out, including 10 that feature in the Michelin Guide, as well as our on-site table d’hôtes
SHOPPING & PROVISIONS:-
The nearest bakery, butchers and general store is at Crevant, just 6 minutes by car.
Aigurande is the nearest town around 7km away with supermarkets, pharmacy etc and on Friday mornings, a vibrant market.
La Chatre is the next bigger town with medieval roots - approximately 20km away with a wider choice of supermarkets and other shops. There’s also a fabulous market on Saturday mornings.
ONSITE FOOD PROVISION - We can also provide breakfast baskets, barbecue and ingredients packs, + table d'hotes For your convenience, we also stock some essential items at reception and there are fresh growing herbs at your summer kitchen.
There are lots of walks and good cycling in the immediate vicinity, however, to go further afield, your own transport is required. Free parking on site is available for one car per tent

In 2019 Simon (my husband) and I set off on an amazing new adventure to move to France from the UK and create La Prairie Étoilée - well - because we have always LOVED camping, great food and good company! We believe we have created a real get-away-from-it-all glamping experience; a truly special place where couples can unplug, recharge and reconnect. We'd love you to come and see for yourself!
