Relaxing place with lots of hiking opportunities nearby. Alex is super helpful and responsive if there's any thing you want to know. Be prepared to have a deer or two visit from time to time :)

Alex is a good host and I'm grateful he was willing to take in our two cats during our 1-month stay. This place is very close to nature as described. You can see deer everyday. I think it will be a great place to stay if Alex can fix the things below. 1. Cleanness. There're animal droppings under the couch and Alex said it's from a lamb that used to be raised inside. I found it very dusty under the bed and couches; and I found some fries under the couch too. Apparently the cleaning service Alex hired didn't do a good job. The couches are covered with so much stain that I don't want to sit on those. 2. There's no HVAC in the place. There's a pellet heater installed in the living area but it make the whole place smells smoky when it's on. 3. There's only one smoke detector in the house, and it's not working. I later found out there's no battery installed. Considering there's a pellet heater inside, I brought one from home for our own safety.

Nice place in Walnut Creek. Alex was friendly and loved staying in his farm house. Very near to the bay area

A conveniently located stay with a lovely, sunny porch perfect for breakfasts. The place cools down beautifully at night, and the sheep are fun to watch.

Alex is a great host. The place is utilitarian but clean, very secluded and comfortable. The bathroom is quite nice. It is perfect as a guest house for family in the area on holiday or people exploring mount diablo. The patio and kitchen are excellent for preparing meals and eating out under the stars in a group.
