It doesn't get more central than this. Historical sites, castles, shopping, transportation, dining and parks at your door step. Yet no traffic noise. Large flat in historical building with lots of antique quaint features and upcycled carpenter work. If you are into sleek new scandinavian style - this place is not for you. But if you like to take a bite of history and mystery, this is a perfect vacation home. ‘Eclectic decor’ apartment of 120 sq.m. smack in the centre of Copenhagen, right where the World's longest pedestrian street starts. The apartment is in a historical building from 1884. It is facing away from the street. This means no fancy view, but also no noise from the street whatsoever. AREA This is the eye of Copenhagen right between the Botanical Gardens, the Kings Gardens and the pedestrian street shopping area. It is a one minute walk from the gourmet market Torvehallerne and Nørreport Station and Metro, which is the main transportation hub in the city. Take the metro from the airport (there is only 1 line) and 15 minutes later, you are in your vacation home. APARTMENT Expect Aladdins cave, but in the jungle and furbished with vintage items and hand crafted reclaimed wood details. Also expect a squeaky floor board here and there, uneaven walls and chipped off paint occasionally. You’ll find a hallway, with office space, a kitchen with dining table in open connection with the sitting room area. The kitchen has all you need to cook and dine at home. You are free to snoop around in our pantry for oils, spices etc. for cooking. The TV has Netflix, Viaplay, HBO and Disney channel. It is on wheels and can be put either in the living room or the master bed room. The master bedroom is on the lower floor and has a double bed 160x200 cm. The other bedroom is upstairs and has a pull out double bed 160x200 cm. It is possible to make up two extra beds - one a floor mattress upstairs in the open galleried space, and one on the living room couch. But the appartment is best suited for four people. The bathroom is ‘Copenhagen style' - (meaning: literally not impressive, small and the shower being just a shower head on the wall). GOOD TO KNOW We will provide you with coffee and teas, picnic blanket and basket, so you can enjoy your meals out and about in the many lovely green spaces around the city. And fortunately for you, one of the best micro beer breweries in the country have a tap room right outside our building. The apartment is on the 4th floor (American counting 5th floor) with no elevator. Baby strollers can be kept at ground level in the bicycle shed. BRINGING KIDS? Kids are very welcome and we can put up our swing or trapez in the kitchen. There is also a secret closet fort in bedroom 2. We Can put out some toys and boardgames for you as Well. For babies we can provide a high chair with tray and a Daryan sleeping tent for a baby, so you won’t need to bring a travel cot. You can also bring the tent out and about, as it is easy to carry and serves as UVprotection. If you prefer a mattress or the Deryan sleeping tent in the floor instead of having kids in a separate bedroom, let us know ahead of time, and we will fix that.
