Kick back to watch your favorite DVD movies and shows on the TV whenever you're not out sightseeing. The kitchen has been completely renovated and reconfigured to maximize space for cooking and dining space. It boasts all new stainless steel appliances and has been well-equipped for cooking and entertaining. In addition, the downstairs includes a bedroom, half bath, and kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot. What's Nearby You'll have plenty of terrific restaurants to explore within two miles of the home anytime you need a break from the kitchen. There were a lot of maintenance issues. There was a water leak in the down stairs bedroom that was leaking in from the rain outside. That back patio storm door handle kept coming off. There was a drain leak under the kitchen counter. The shower sliding doors in one of the bedrooms was broke. There was a smell coming from the chest in the kitchen. There were lightbulbs that were burned out that had to be replaced. The couch had stains that looked like it needed cleaning. The floor felt sandy on the first day we got there.
We enjoyed our stay! Plenty of room for 3 families each with a toddler. We loved the proximity to the beach!
We loved the house! Great location and view of the beach. We walked to the restaurants in the southern end of the island. Great main room and patio space.
This house has significant deferred maintenance issues which impact the quality of the stay as well as overall life safety. The screened in porch has no screens, and the ceiling fans were broken. So, a room that was intended to be used was unusable. The porch was excessively hot during the day, and at night unusable because without screens, and the lights on, bugs flew in constantly. The elevator, which we were intending to use, was broken, and the the maintenance staff said parts had to be ordered. The front stair case is rotten, and the hand railing came off the posts, and had to be repaired. While that was repaired, the stair treads have to be replaced. The location is lovely, and the staff were polite and responsive. When a tech came to replace the ceiling fan, I showed him that the railing was off because the posts were rotten, and he fixed it as best he could. The house was not as described, and is in need of significant repairs. However, the location is great
We had an overall wonderful vacation, fantastic location! There were however a few pretty big issues. When we arrived, the downstairs apartment was mildewed and moldy. There was no working climate control & there was visible bubbling behind the walls from water intrusion. We called Vacasa & they sent someone over immediately to "clean" but you can't clean moisture/mold from a space. I am happy to say Vacasa was able to offer us another apartment close by to accommodate that area not being livable, but it did put a damper on our trip as we weren't able to all be together in one house like we'd intended. The other issue is the whole house had an ant infestation & not just the kitchen, but crawling in our beds. Vacasa sent teams 2 different times to try & remedy, but unfortunately these ants were persistent & several of us got ant bites while sleeping. Would stay here again if these issues are remedied. Vacasa definitely did what they could to help which was much appreciated!
