The Bacìo Farm is located 35 km from Florence and 6 km from Certaldo, a perfectly preserved medieval village with the Palazzo Pretorio, the Castle and the house of Giovanni Boccaccio, the famous Italian writer and poet. During the summer, it hosts the medieval fair Mercanzia, which combines the magic of street theatre with the craftsmanship of local artisans, all surrounded by music and dance performances.
You can also enjoy the Tuscany Intenational Juzz summer School and Arts festival and the Literary Prize dedicated to Giovanni Boccaccio.
Around the farm you can enjoy the many trekking routes and you will find a riding school for horseback riding about 3 km away.
The fascinating Via Francigena also passes not far away.

From the Florence Peretola Airport to Fattoria Bacìo there are approx. 45 km and the shortest route is to take the viaduct of the Indiano and continue along the Florence-Pisa-Livorno trunk road and exit at Ginestra Fiorentina, from there follow signs for Montespertoli, then for Marcialla/Tavarnelle V.P.
Before reaching the village of Marcialla, take the signs for Fiano. Once you have passed the small village of Fiano, after a few minutes you will find on the right the sign for Fattoria Bacìo. In a few minutes you will find the entrance and the parking area of the Fattoria.
