We were 3 adults and we wanted our own private rooms, so this was cheaper than 3 hotel rooms plus we got to hang out together in the mornings and evenings in the comfortable living room. Loved the fireplace (with easy switch to light it). There was a welcome basket of snacks (much appreciated, since we arrived after midnight). We prepped a couple meals and really appreciated the available appliances (it even had an air fryer) and the dishwasher was nice and quiet. It snowed one day, and I was glad the snow shovel was conveniently right by the front door! We shoveled the path and sidewalk (since the neighbors all seemed to do that). There was a large basement with the 4th bedroom and extra mattresses- we just checked that out on the first night, but we stayed on the main level as there were 3 bedrooms on that floor. Very convenient!

This is a well presented and laid out home with ample accommodation for up to 4 couples sharing 2 bathrooms. Everything is well labelled and easy to find and basic provisions are a provided to good standard. Probably the standout for us was the choice of entertainment on the television and the big comfy lounges.

This is a great house to rent for a family or friends. Area is very peaceful and felt incredibly safe. Easy driving to get around the city from this location and only a few blocks to walk to places like coffee, liquor, convenience, etc. Close to dog walk trail, schools with parks and the backyard is private and quiet to enjoy during your stay. House was mostly as expected - basement has one bedroom with 1 bed, 1 futon and an extra mattress if you needed it. There is also a large living room area, but only includes another small futon for sitting and no tv. There is also a full bathroom downstairs and nice bar area. Upstairs had 3 bedrooms as expected, living room with small tv, nice bathroom, and the kitchen had everything we needed for our lengthy stay. House is a bit older so there was a bit of a musky smell upon arrival and some minor maintenance things throughout, but nothing that should deter you from staying here. Host was responsive and helpful.

We had a quiet family reunion at Helen’s place and it was the perfect venue for our big family. It was located in a peaceful neighborhood. Convenience and liquor stores were very close by. We were able to cook our own food as the kitchen was complete with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and extra pillows and beddings were provided. Helen was very helpful when it came to our needs. One thing that we didn’t read is that the place didn’t have airconditioning but there were a lot of fans that sufficed this need. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and we would definitely recommend it to other large groups who are looking for a place to stay at.

Our host Helen was very accommodating. She is responsive to all of our requests/questions. We requested a bathing chair and she bought it right away. Her place was well kept and it fits perfectly for our big family. The location was convenient, only a short drive everywhere we go. We had a wonderful stay at her house in Calgary.
