Dating from the 17th Century and thought to be the first house in the village, this cosy cottage retains many of its original 400 year old features. It is well equipped providing all you will need for your holiday. Sitting between Dartmouth and Salcombe it is only a mile away from the South West coast path and Slapton Ley nature reserve. It is the perfect base for walkers and nature lovers. Through the front gate a few steps take you up onto the pretty garden terrace with a table and chairs for alfresco dining. Here you can sit and relax after a days walking or beach combing. If you are lucky you might even hear the Skylarks. Entering the cottage porch there is a cupboard for shoes/walking boots and a fridge freezer. From here another step leads you into the modern fully equipped kitchen which includes an electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. A further two steps take you into the lounge/diner with an exposed beamed ceiling and inglenook fireplace, character slate flooring, comfy sofas and smart TV with DVD player. A dining area with a wooden painted table seats four. Leading off the lounge is the bathroom with a shower over the bath, WC and heated towel rail. A winding staircase takes you up to the first floor where the two pretty and characterful bedrooms are found. The twin room can be used as a single or twin depending on the number of guests. Each room has their own wardrobe and chest of drawers with wooden shutters on the windows.
