This ancient, traditionally decorated house is one minute walk from pristine beaches in the tiny quaint fishing village of Kitries. Kitries is famous in the region for deep sea diving, its two fresh fish tavernas and generations of family-owned olives and oil. This is the ideal place for a quality family holiday, a serene writers retreat or for the more adventurous there are plenty of water sport, nature walks and night life options nearby. The house has two bedrooms, one with own veranda. There is a bathroom with bathtub and washing machine, and a seperate WC. The large living room with fully equiped kitchen and fireplace can host 2 extra guests on sofa beds. The large stone house in antique style is traditionally decorated with antique furniture, tools, trinkets, and pictures that span several generations of the family. The rental house has three private shady, balconies with seaview, perfect for meals and sunsets. A large green garden with vegetable patches surround the whole house and a bbq is provided.

The house in Kitries was fantastic. It is an authentic and quirky Greek house with wonderful terraces overlooking the sea. The surrounding olive and lemon trees keep the house cool, together with the blessed air conditioning. The beach is a very short walk from the house where there are three excellent seafront restaurants. The town of Kalamata is around 30 minutes drive away with many great beaches along the route. Maria and Nico live in the apartment below and were very helpful, friendly and made our holiday special. There is ample parking in front of the house. We would definitely like to visit again!
Maria and Vangelis’ house is a true gem, and was clearly a labour of love. Beautifully situated in a little village with a lovely beach, back from the bustle of the waterfront venues, surrounded by the olive grove and a vegetable plot. It is fully furnished, with generously spaced rooms, and wonderfully full of character, with a traditional feel. Parking in front of the house was a great bonus given parking opportunities are extremely limited. The best part, however, was certainly Maria - an extremely kind lady who went out of her way to make us feel completely welcome. If we can, we would certainly come back and stay here again.

We had a magical time thanks to Maria our wonderfiul host, it was a very special holiday. The house was totally enchanting buried in the cool geeenery of its surrondings. Fabulous view from the terrace, a 2 minute stroll to the beach and its tavernas. It was a real wrench to leave, planning next trip already.
A small paradise! At the end of the road lies a tiny village with two good restaurants and a hidden beach with sandy bottom three steps out. 100 meters in and with excellent parking lies Marias house! For a family of 4 two bathrooms and lots of space inside the airconditioned house is ideal. But the two covered terrasses kept us outside in the warmth of July. The host is so sweet, helpful and even stayed up to welcome and accomodate us even though our plane was delayed and we arrived close to midnight. Our highest recommendations!

The historical town of Κalamata town with ancient castle and cosy squares as well as upscale shopping streets and large supermarkets is at 16kms from Kitries.
For the sporty, you can take lovely sunset walks through olive groves starting from Kitries church or do canooing, and wind or kite -surfing at beautiful Sandova beach just 4kms from Kitries
The trendy local beach and cocktail bars- Hobos and Memphis - or lively "Kalamata by night" are to be explored by the more adventurous.
The famous villages of Kardalyli is a 45mins drive through the Mani mountains with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean sea; Aeropoli and diros caves are 1h30mins drive, and make for a perfect day trip.
