RockHill's Blue Cottage is a warm and inviting home away from home. The pictures offer an accurate view however the visuals are a sight to see. If you are looking for a secluded and calm getaway, stress-free, tranquility, this place is just what you need. A well maintained property and attention to detail is evident across RockHill offerings. - The Blue Cottage offered everything we needed during our stay, BBQ, TV, Wi-Fi, Laundry, Soaker Tub, Fire Pit and Full Kitchen. Clean open spaces and a reasonable amount of supplies Including, dishes, Cooking utensils, Toilet paper, Shampoo & Conditioner, Laundry soap and Fresh Cut Firewood. Lots of room inside and out, including both the front and back porches. We could even sit out and enjoy the rainy evening on the front porch. - The pond is great for all swimming levels as described, both shallow and deep. The beach front setting offers a comfortable place to bask in the sun, with some chairs provided along the sand. Also the picnic table for some coverage while you enjoy lunch at the pond or play some games on the table. We played Yahtzee! - The property is open for you to walk around and take in the nature at your own leisure and pace. Trees and trails all around! I was very pleased with Denise's level of hospitality. She evidently, takes pride in her property and Airbnb stays, but she is also genuine in making sure you enjoy your time here. Denise was extremely welcoming and accommodating during our week, we had such a wonderful time, we will be returning!

This one is for those who want a review that will make them feel like they have already been here: Accomodation: It was very nicely kept. Clean. Organized. The decor was a mix of cottage feeling with the comfort of also being at home. Loved it. Experience: For us, it was perfect. We don't do crowds. The quiet getaway was what we sought for. So the stay here was pretty much like a private resort. 100 plus acres of land so you get the idea of how far you have to travel to see another human haha. For people like us from the city, this is basically a breathtaking experience. Just looking at the freshly cut grass, abundance of trees, the quietness is a reminder that there is more to life than the fast pace we move in Toronto. Pond: Amazing. Perfect depth. Can wade and also dive off the rock. Best for all levels of swimming comfortability. There are also kayaks and paddle boats for you to use which becomes super fun when you start taking it beside the 2 floating fountains. Extras: As a surprise, Denise helped purchase champagne, flowers and a romantic photo frame for my fiancee. Denise went to 3 different stores to try and find stuff even though I told her this wasn't necessary. This transcends beyond customer care. This was her display of passion to make a memorable moment come true. She did what was needed to make me look like the most romantic man ever haha. Communication: One word. Solid. If you want a host who's going to take the time to answer every single question you have in detail, then Denise is that person. If in need of an emergency, she is very quick to respond. Overall: Definitely returning again. There are lots of places to stay in Airbnbs but Denise's level of genuine service is going to be very difficult to find. If you're lucky. Best of both worlds here. Beyond even the service & accommodations, she is extremely genuine in how she conducts her business. Very friendly, honest and understanding of all things. Amazing accommodations with an amazing host.

The blue cottage was cozy and clean, and everything we could have wanted for our weekend away from the city. With 4 people, the cottage was spacious and offered a ton of comfortable sitting areas inside and outside. Our host was kind, attentive and checking in to be sure we had what we needed throughout our whole stay. The grounds are beautiful with such a rich history. We loved exploring the trails and dreaming about what this place meant to people in the 70s. We're really excited to watch the progress of this property as the owner works on restoring it. The pond is the perfect afternoon spot, we brought our cooler and beach chairs down and enjoyed the whole afternoon floating, swimming and relaxing (away from any other humans, which is a huge bonus on a relaxing getaway). The diving rock provided some kid-like fun and I'd highly recommended it if you're looking for some laughs. There is a great stepping stone system to get out of the water beside the diving rock, but you may need to clear some of the moss with the pool tools (totally worth it). All around a great weekend made even better by a cool property and a thoughtful host. Thanks for having us and we're looking forward to returning one day!

The Blue Cottage was an amazing stay. The property it is situated on is large, safe and very accommodating. It was so peaceful to have all that open space to ourselves. The cottage is modern, clean and very comfortable. On property there is an amazing pond to swim in and nearby you can find a entrance to an amazing segment of the bruce trail. Overall an amazing getaway, I highly recommend!
