Le Jardin Renard is a charming 19th century house in Clos sur Loir Cottage, in the heart of a small village in Haut Anjou. Carefully decorated, the 85 m² gîte has comfort equipment and an ornamental walled garden for a restful stay. The hosts will help you discover the riches of their region: Loire châteaux, hikes in the forest and in the surrounding valleys, nautical activities in unspoiled nature, Zoo de la Flèche, local farm products, tableware ... In a regional Sarthe Angevine style and flea market spirit, the interior and exterior fittings of the Renard Garden are also inspired by the professional experiences of decorators and travelers of the owners. The cottage is located on the village square, opposite the historic Sainte-Geneviève church. The rooms are spread over two levels (ground floor and first floor). The two upstairs bedrooms have a view of the square and the church or of the Clos sur Loir gardens. The house has a semi-shaded patio with lounge for outdoor dining. It gives access to the ornamental and vegetable gardens (the products can be tasted according to the seasons). For a resting stay, the outdoor relaxation area located in the gîte's enclosed garden is equipped with deckchairs, a hammock and romantic stone furniture. In the cold season, travelers will have a regional fireplace in a building located on the other side of the enclosed garden but accessible by a gate. This building also houses additional equipment at the Jardin Renard cottage (shared equipment: storage rooms, laundry, sauna with shower room, winter fire room).

Nasser is the type of host who really wants his guests to have a great stay. We were 3 - me, my husband and 11 year old son. Communication was great and Nasser's very respectable English came in handy when my French occasionally failed me! The cottage is on a peaceful square in the centre of a village and was well-equipped for our 9 night stay. Having use of a washing machine was handy. We borrowed bikes and a paddleboard from Nasser so were able to get some exercise in to compensate for all the delicious food we bought! Plenty of TV channels for the whole family to enjoy once we'd finished each day of exploring the Loir region. It's well located for visiting Le Mans and also the Loire Valley. The cottage is decorated with lots of original art and quirky artefacts which made it a unique place to stay, and the garden yielded some lovely fruit and herbs that we were encouraged to eat.

Nasser est un hôte exceptionnel : très accueillant, disponible, il nous a couvert•es de petites attentions et de messages très appreciés. Il n'hesite pas a prêter paddle, vélo, canoë et est vraiment adorable. Il nous a envoye des listes d'activites, des parcours de randonnée et nous a meme rapporté du fromage de chevre de chez son producteur ! Le logement est coquet avec un jardin superbe et il est remarquablement equipé : barbecue et ustensiles, lits confortables, matériel de puériculture, hamac, chaises longues, bibliothèque, radio connectée, jeux, etc. Mention spéciale pour la confiture maison a la pêche de vigne et au rhum qui était délicieuse. Attention néanmoins à l'escalier un peu raide pour ceux et celles qui se deplaceraient plus difficilement. Merci beaucoup Nasser pour toutes ces petites attentions et votre gentillesse que nous avons vraiment appréciées !

Een leuke gite met een mooie tuin midden op het rustige platteland. In de tuin kom je helemaal tot rust. In de buurt veel mogelijkheden tot wandelingen en Nasser kan je veel tips geven over leuke dingen die in de buurt te doen zijn. Wij zijn verwelkomt met heerlijke zelfgemaakte jam en koekjes. Echt een gastheer die het je naar de zin wil maken.

We had a wonderful stay at Nasser’s place. A beautiful and well decorated house with a nice garden. The kitchen was fully equipped and clean. Nasser welcomed us with popcorn for our kids and homemade jam for us. Communication with Nasser was easy and he gave us a lot of tips for the region. I highly recommend staying here!

The cottage is located in the tourist valley of the Loir (Loire Valley), in the small authentic village of Chapelle aux Choux, on the place of the historic Sainte-Geneviève church. Walkers, fishermen and water sports enthusiasts will find what they are looking for within a 4-minute walk: predator fishing spots, slipway for canoes, paddles and boats at the Pont de l'Ecole Eiffel. The lodging is the starting point to visit the castle of Lude located 5 minutes away and the zoo of the arrow which is very close. Travelers looking for peaceful nature will be delighted: On leaving the village, numerous hikes or bike rides in the forests, along the Loir and Fare rivers, or the Brule Choux stream. The small castles and manors located around the village center as well as the proximity of the archaeological site of Aubigné Racan and the Dolmen of Amenon will enhance the romantic and timeless walks to be made on small paths or on hiking trails (including GR 35 and 36, Loir cycle route n ° 47). The cottage is in the heart of a preserved natural area listed by the European Natura 2000 label. The beautiful lively towns of Tours, Le Mans, Angers and Saumur are less than 50 minutes away.

The cottage in the Renard garden is 5 minutes by car from all shops and amenities with the small town of Lude. The journey can also be done in 15-20 minutes with bicycles which are provided free of charge.
The geographical location of the Clos sur Loir Cottage gites is ideal, both for an immersion in unspoiled nature and for visiting the lively and charming towns which are nearby (less than 45 minutes): Tours, Saumur, Le Mans , Angers.
20-25 minutes from the gîte, the towns of La Flèche with its famous zoo, Château du Loir and Baugé en Anjou are worth a detour.
