<<Nice place that needs maintenance to be as great as announced.>> We spent 9 days at the villa (both first and second floor) and had mixed feelings about it. The host is very amicable and responsive; the only thing is that he lives abroad in a different time zone so he can only do so match if there's an issue that needs a quick solution. His local team in charge of the property is ok but unfortunately not as responsive as him, especially during the weekend. Luckily for us, we did get to meet him on our second day there and on departure day, since he happened to be visiting family in the country the same days we had scheduled our vacation. As for the house, the place is huge and with great amenities and space for a big family or group. The large Arab-style sofas are probably the best feature of the place! The first floor is perhaps in better shape than the second floor (more tided up too), but both of them are in urgent need of maintenance. I guess being so close from the sea has its perks, but it also means more damage to the house that needs to be attended to regularly: high humidity throughout the house, cracked glass windows, water leaks through some of the windows when it rains, multiple cracked tiles in the terrace... Plus a few other things inside and outside the house that did not work properly either, such as the inoperable BBQ in the garden :( — we emailed the owner after our stay, so we hope he takes care of all of them in time for the next booking. There were also three things that were not clearly stated in the property description: One was the Wifi arrangement, which has to be paid by the guests, rather than being provided by the host, after the first megabytes are used up. It's a router with a remote rechargeable SIM card. Nothing wrong with that, we just wished we had known about it before making the reservation. — I have to say that the host did offer to pay for a second charge after we showed our surprise when he told us that we needed to recharge the Internet service. The other one was the hot water, which is provided by a water heater shared by the two apartments. Unfortunately, it was not enough for a family of 5 plus a baby. Better to limit shower time length if everybody wants to enjoy a hot shower! The last one is the fact that there's a basement floor with a permanent guest living there. He's actually really nice, but we thought we had the entire place for ourselves. Not the case. Overall, the stay at this property was pleasant but not as much as we originally expected based on the rate we paid and the quality of the accommodation we got. Perhaps if the owner fixes all the things not working in...
