This modern furnished beach cottage (2BR, 1 BA) is the perfect spot if you are looking for walks on white sandy beaches or a quiet time after a day in the waves. The busy surf village of Pacific City with it’s stunning view of Cape Kiwanda is just a 5 minute car ride away. The house itself is located in the small village of Tierra Del Mar on a dead end street that ends at the beach. Eat on the front porch in the sunshine and enjoy the hot tub and outdoor shower in the backyard to end the day. The cottage has a modern Scandinavian design touch with a well appointed kitchen with high-end dishware, gas grill, microwave, blender, and more. Gas stove inside, fire pit in the front yard. Hot tub on a deck in the backyard after a long day on the beach.

We had a truly magical weekend at Nat’s place and we are already excited to plan another trip. It has everything we could have wanted — essentially right on the beach, a hot tub, a fireplace, wonderfully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, good WiFi, a lovely porch to drink your coffee and read… I could go on. The area is beautiful and there are plenty of hikes and outdoor activities to get into. The hosts were quick to respond when we had some trouble getting the fireplace on as well. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Had a fantastic time with the kiddos and pup! Beach access at the end of the road, sound of the ocean, hot tub, reading nooks throughout, deck to grill grub or enjoy a glass of wine…our stay was too short!
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to make my reservation at the last minute because of car troubles but the hosts were so kind in offering me the availability to rebook!
I’m hesitant to share such a good review cause it’s a gem of a place! A private and peaceful bungalow, within walking distance of the beach, a great play space for kids…and allows dogs! The space has beautiful updates with a vintage feel. There were fresh eggs and a fun hand juice press. The place is beautifully curated and every little detail was perfect! We loved the hot tub and the outside shower as well. The weather was beautiful & sunny. What a treat to stay at such a gorgeous place!

The unincorporated community of Tierra Del Mar where the house is located is a quiet collection of one way gravel streets with several full-time residents and many vacation homes. The community is nestled between Cape Kiwanda to the South and Sand Lake/ Cape Lookout to the North. It was made famous recently when Facebook purchased a nearby property and used it connect an undersea fiber optic cable to its data center in Oregon.
Pacific Free Shuttle:
DAYS OF OPERATION
The Pacific City Free Shuttle operates on weekends in Pacific City beginning May 28th through September 6th. The Shuttle is free and provides transportation to and from destinations throughout Pacific City and surrounding areas, from the County Boat Launch and Bob Straub Park, all the way to Tierra Del Mar and the Sitka Sedge State Natural Area.
TIME SCHEDULE
On Saturdays and Sundays, the Pacific City Free Shuttle service schedule starts at the Thousand Trails Office at 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Beginning at 11:00 AM departures will leave every 30 minutes throughout the day, until
5:30 PM. Saturdays and Sundays will also feature two additional evening departures at 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM.

Originally from Washington, DC I moved to Portland to work in conservation with the Sierra Club. I took a 2 year hiatus as a Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal, West Africa, and then came back to work in business. I started my own company, GlobeSherpa, a technology startup building mobile ticketing and payment apps that I sold to Daimler AG. Now I am Entrepreneur in Residence with Elevate Capital, a venture capital fund. I am passionate about wilderness and can be a great resource for information about hiking, camping, skiing, fly-fishing, rafting, etc. I'm also a big foodie and into the local music and arts scene so just ask and I'll share my recommendations. We love traveling and exploring new cultures and languages. I speak French, Spanish, and Wolof (a West African dialect) and am learning German.
