Truly a rustic cabin but with some bonus amenities. The beds are comfy, the futon also very comfy. I suggest bringing some of your own kitchen items (i.e. pots, utensils; both eating and cooking, and cutting boards). Mark did bring us some to use as we didn’t know they didn’t have them in the cabin. Mark was super responsive to any questions. We couldn’t get the heater started and Mark was there super quickly to get it going for us. Easy access to both SL and LP! Great host! We will be be back again! Thank you so much for an awesome stay!

Great cabins close to Saranac Lake and Lake Placis! Awesome location for hiking. Cabins are perfect for the price. I plan to stay here again!

Those cabins are very well located to visit Adirondacks if you have a low budget. However, you must keep in mind that it's a very basic and old cabins. Don't forget to bring your own dishes and all you need for the beds (no sheets, pillows and bedcovers are provided).

We had a minor issue, and the owner Mark took care of it immediately. He was quick to respond to questions. The cabin is as described. A 5-7 minute drive into the heart of Lake Placid.

Very cool RUSTIC cabins built in the 1920s. Neon illuminates the outdoor trim. BBQ/seafood shack on premises is good. Their smoked wings are 🔥. Huge fried seafood portions. Bar and ice cream also on the Tail of the Pup compound. Very freindly owner/operator. Live music. Playground. Less than 10 minutes to both Saranac Lake and Lake Placid villages. Brewery across the street. An ideal and affordable base for your family ADK adventures. 10/10 will be returning.
