Travelling as a couple between Wellington and Auckland, we were looking for some places to stay on our way north and came across this one. We had stayed on a farmstay near here so knew that the area was gorgeous. This place was a little too pricey for a couple, so we invited our friends, another couple, to join us. It was a great couple of days! We loved the old cottage. It has been nicely done up. We enjoyed sitting at the outdoor table in the evening sun. We loved the HUGE outdoor bath. The walk up to the picnic table at the highest point of the farm was excellent and we like sitting in front of the open fire each night. We also enjoyed the outdoor brazier, but we never found time to use the e-bikes, so we'll have to come back for that another time! The walk around the reservoir was recommended, and we enjoyed it. We also came across Sutherland Bush which is nearby and the walk there was possibly even better.

A great spot to get away and unwind! We really enjoyed our time on the farm and the kids are already asking to book another weekend stay. Next time we will definitely try the farm and foraging experiences offered by Kylie. Thanks for a beautiful stay!

Kylie’s place is really beautiful & we love the space. My son did a Pony experience & he loves it. Kylie is really friendly & gave us a great tour around the farm. We got to meet both their dogs & the newly born puppy too. Thank you Kylie!

A lovely, cozy, quiet home in the middle of nature. Was so great to wake up to birdsong each morning. The kids loved playing in the fields when the weather allowed and even though we had to spend more time indoors due to weather, we enjoyed quality family time and loved being ‘unplugged’ for the weekend! A great spot if you’re looking for a slow weekend away from Wellington.

We absolutely loved our farm stay in the cottage! It was a peaceful family retreat for my husband, daughter, and me. Kylie and Andrew were excellent hosts! We were lucky enough to schedule a mini farm tour with Kylie which we all enjoyed, especially our 3 year old daughter. The outdoor bathtub was wonderful and lived up to the expectation I had in mind from the pictures. We also were able to use the bikes provided with a toddler attachment to explore the nearby area which was an added bonus.
